Easy to get to, suburban walk through wetland park wear your wellies after rain. Plenty of bird life for photographers. Coffee shop available as well as Castledare rail for kids open sometimes. Dog friendly area too. Beautiful serene part of the river.

Kent St Weir Park is lovely. There's an environmental centre, cafe, river and great walks. My favourite walk is along the river. I called the pics I took Ephemeral Art by Nature. We're so lucky to live in a metro area that has so many parks.

I'm always looking for family friendly places and came across this park, which seems to have it all. Situated next to the Canning River, the park has a playground, walk trails to help you appreciate the river and the natural surroundings and a cafe. On the third Sunday of every month little ones can also ride on the Castledare miniature trains, which runs from 10am-2pm. Nearby there's a fenced dog park for those who seek places for their furry friends to run. The facilities in the area are currently being upgraded and I look forward to seeing what it looks like when development is complete.

Kent st Canning River Cafe and dog area is amazingly pretty, quiet and peaceful. Can be social or a spot to get away at walking over the bridge through the woodlands for a river walk. Doggo area has been positive each time :

Excellent place to take your dog with a very dog friendly Cafe & very large, fully enclosed dog exercise area.nAlso has lovely walking trails & bike rides & a train and is an all round  great place for a family Picnic  / BBQ..
