This had a homely cafe vibe. I ate a delicious fried string beans and veg dish garnished with pan fried noodle clumps like the sticky bits you get at the bottom of a pan. The chicken veg dim sim were home made and not greasy with a subtle flavour. Coffee was good.
First time at this place, never met anyone ruder asian lady taking orders today.. the food is average, lots of oil..but that's ok if service was ok... save yourself.. go some place else.. that lady was so RUDE. NO STAR IF POSSIBLE...
They make the most amazing gluten-free salt and pepper tofu. I love coming here on my lunch break.
The service was so bad, I was actually laughing. The lady serving us was incredibly rude, but I honestly think this is her style and not intentional. She could easily get a job at Karen's Diner. We only ordered chips, which were ok, but would have tasted better if they weren't plonked on the table so angrily with a snarl. I felt like we should have apologied for coming.
Great beer selection; lots of Japanese imports
We went at 8pm and it was very quiet, so I can't speak to the wait times but with that being said, I loved it! We got fried chicken and fried tofu and rice. $15 a pop- basic but tasty. Best chicken I've had in ages and homemade chili sauce. Both husband and wife owners were good value. They aren't your standard "smile and serve" hospitality. Just have a joke with them and don't be too stuck up. I recommend checking it out, for a cheap fun meal. Also- scrambled eggs and coffee for under $10! I'll try that next time.
Not really Japanese food. Lots of fried options. When asked for fresh vegetables I got a big plateful of fried noodles with tiny slivers of grated carrot/onion. Not fresh. Not amazed.
Very disappointing, it used to be such a good little Japanese place! Now the food is average and sort of fusion, does not look traditional at all and the spa music was just annoying.
This place is horrible. It took for 30 minutes to get 2 coffees and I thought "ok maybe they are busy so it can happen!" Buy it took for 2 hours to get those horrible meals served. I never experienced anything worse than this in my life. Basically this food is not Japanese style at all!!! Secondly I really don't understand why it takes too long to serve the food. Literally they serve just plain steams rice and mixed salad. Miso soup taste like instant soup, chicken was extremely salty, fried tofu was dry.. if you want to try it is totally up you but prepare yourself to experience the worst food in the world. One more the Asian lady from the cafe was so rude. I wish I could five negative 5 stars. They don't deserve even one star. Remember that this is just "HORRIBLE"
Nice little café. Food was warm and delivered quickly to the table. I had the vegan option which was a stir fry of beans and tofu with rice. Was delicious.
