We had a terrible experience with my sisters funeral here. The "Christian" minister Graham Harvey who presided over the funeral gossiped to his deranged sister about my family and she sent me several abusive emails a week after her funeral while I was grieving!?? She confirmed in the emails that "Minister" Harvey her brother had given her all the details/slander. I approached the funeral home about this and they apologised but did nothing and said it was out of their hands?? They could have taken SOME action to make sure this lunacy and unprofessionalism doesn't happen to other grieving families. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone as they unable to provide any privacy and dignity for grieving families.
Professional and caring team who accommodated Mum's wishes with helping organise the service at the Catholic Church, and provided extra guidance when required. Thank you for helping make the day run smoothly.
We lost both Mum & Dad in the space of two months Both times KCFH helped me do good services for both my parents Graham was attentive to our needs & provided a great service
I couldn't have been happier with the service offered by Kapiti Coast Funeral Home. They made the process so easy at a time that was so hard for our family. They were professional and all the elements of the services offered were perfect. The live stream link allowed family who could not be here because of Covid to watch the service.
Hannah was so polite & easy to deal with. Cannot thank you enough for being able to provide an urn for my son as we travelled all the way down from Bulls. Thank you so much!
These guys buried my father under a false name. They must have had questions when there was no birth certificate to be found. They did it anyway. Here am I. His legal daughter, at 50yrs of age. Finally I got the truth. The man I searched for all my adult life, was not dead all that time. I thought I was giving his life some dignity. I never gave up. He was registered as missing person person with police since 1992. He had been been missing since 1976. I found the answers through DNA.My half sister Rosie Kelly, wondered why he didn't have a birth certificate...I think they had a few problems with getting their insurance payouts. These people have no integrity, no heart, and are up for fraudulent behaviour. They have zero respect for pain and truths
It was our saddest occasion made special by Kapiti Coast Funeral Home. Graham Orchard and his colleagues handled everything with dignity, love and professionalism. I cannot recommend them more highly. Who knows how to pick a funeral director? I had no clue but luck brought us to the right place. The special touches of the memory photo books and A4 photo were priceless. Not to mention the beautiful order of service. Everything was effortless to arrange with his team. Beautiful cremation chapel. We are deeply grateful x
They made a very difficult time a heck of a lot easier. They do the basics very well, but that's only the start. It's all the little touches they add that are at the same time heartbreaking and heartwarming. The facility is lovely, with the chapel looking out over a little garden. It's big enough to hold I believe about 200 people, but it's also cosy enough that it wouldn't be out of place to have a small funeral there.
Big thanks to Diane and the team at Kapiti Coast Funeral Home. Very understanding and helpful in organising the funeral of our Mum. Would recommend them to everyone.
A nice new well-run facility which also has a Crematorium at Kaitawa. But owner Mr Rolston was appointed to the board of the Parkwood Retirement Village in June 2016 -- a good source of business for him? Draw your own conclusions!
