Visited on a Sunday evening during the Brisbane Festival in September to see the art installations—absolutely beautiful, especially around sunset. It was quite crowded, but we were lucky to find parking. I’d recommend visiting on a weekday if you prefer a quieter experience.
Kangaroo Point Cliffs Lookout in Brisbane offers panoramic views of the city skyline and the Brisbane River, making it a favorite spot for both locals and tourists. Visitors often praise its scenic beauty, with multiple lookout points and ample picnic spots in the park below. nnThe area is popular for recreational activities such as rock climbing, rappelling, biking, rollerblading, and paddle skiing. The park is dog-friendly, with some areas allowing off-leash activities. nnHowever, parking can be limited, especially on weekends, so it’s advisable to arrive early. Amenities near the park are scarce, so bringing water and necessary supplies is recommended. nnWhile the majority of visitors have positive experiences, some have reported occasional disturbances in the area. It’s always a good idea to stay aware of your surroundings. nnIn summary, Kangaroo Point Cliffs Lookout is a must-visit destination in Brisbane, offering stunning views and a variety of activities. Just plan ahead for parking and amenities to ensure a pleasant visit.
Very good point to watch sunsetnThere are few seats can sit and enjoy the moment there.
A nice place to visit for a view all the way from the South Bank to the CBD and beyond, has climbing facilities on the cliffs and barbeque areas. The steps down go to the riverside path and play area, you can walk both directions from here along the river.
Nice look out. Right place to take picture of city skyline with sunset and water reflection of lights. If staying longer in brisbane , can spend some evenings. Beware of mosquitoes and insects- I guess that’s the aussie thing.
