My son has been at Kananook for a year and a half now and he absolutely loves the school. He's made an incredible group of friends and the school community is so warm and inviting. The school staff and principal really make the environment. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a small community based school with teachers and parents who are all invested in making sure our kids have a great learning experience.
I taught at Kananook Grade 6 51 years ago and I decided I’d love to call on and visit the first school I ever taught at. I was welcomed by the principal Mr Michael Block and I have to say how much I appreciated him giving me a tour of the school and the generosity of his time. I would certainly recommend this school to anyone. On the tour he knew every child’s first name as they approached us and that just showed me the commitment he has for the children and the school Many thanks Michael
My kids thrived at Kananook. They were so happy to go everyday. The teachers went above and beyond and I will always be grateful for the help and support they gave us. A small friendly school with so much to offer. My whole family loved our time here.
They don't do anything about bullying, some teachers are good but others are rude as and my mother got blammed because I was getting bullied, like how is it Her fault?
Kananook set me up for great success. Unfortunately it was the story of not being the right person for the School Captaincy, but it set me up on the motivation of being it one day. Now in 2021, I'm the Monterey Secondary College School Captain. Love Kananook, I thrived through the schooling and opportunities there, I still stay in contact with a fair chunk of the staff that remain from my time there, and they're all so very welcoming when I return for major events!
I was associated with KPS for 9 years and would highly recommend this small but community spirited school. Quality education, dedicated and supportive educators and wonderful facilities. You won't be disappointed sending your children to this school
This is a great school with outstanding teachers, with a great School Principal. The school continues to be updated. The teachers are consistent with the aim to reach the best for every student. In my opinion every teacher is there for the right reason to give the students what they need.
Cannot fault the principal, Mr. Block, and the rest of the staff on the team for going above and beyond for my children. Absolutely wonderful school. Considering the area! My kids are so happy to be a part and feel oh so welcomed by everyone.

Kananook has been getting better every year, great teachers and principals that put in every effort to help the kids excel.
