Had cod and chips, not only was the batter like cake batter but the fish was dry where they had left it resting for god knows how long even though I ordered in shop, freshly cooked cod was being given to deliveries!!. They decided to give me some dry cod that was in the heating unit. I wasn’t willing to wait around another 40mins plus for a fresh one!!! I found them rude and when I asked how much longer they said 5mins.. i had been a local to this place, not anymore!! Change of hands has ruined Kams!! Avoid its also 2* rating!! Which they will hide. Delivery driver robs the customers also!!!
Myself and my partner Ordered fish and chips last night and after eating half of the fish we realised it wasn't cooked and very rubbery in the thickest part of the cod on both of our fish, today we both have been extremely poorly with projectile vomiting and dihorea. After seeking medical help we have been told it is severe food poisoning. As a regular customer Kams was my favourite place to eat but now I'm going to be complaining to environmental health food safety team at bracknell council, this shouldn't be happening in todays society and after doing some research I have discovered they have a 3/5 for food hygiene, massive letdown and now I'm left picking up the pieces looking after my sick partner and child whilst also servery ill myself.
Foods great majority of the time, but every time we order the same woman always says she has no change. This has happened over 10 times at different houses aswell. She always takes the change and never apparently has a float.
Been going to kams for a few years now and they were the best fish and chip place In bracknell but last night when I got my meal the chips were really rubbery and hard and the plaice although soft on the inside the batter and skin was so hard I couldn't even get my knife through it. Won't be coming back here again unfortunately its a shame only chip shop I knew that don't use nut oil. Definitely recommend people to avoid this place in the future!
Absolutely beautiful food and the owner went out of his way to make me salt & pepper chicken strips which weren't on the menu and were cooked to perfection. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to family/friends. Can't wait to go again when I visit family.
Really not happy with Kams the last couple of occasions Should never have to wait 45 minutes for takeaway ordered at counter, this was a few weeks ago. Today had to wait nearly an hour, it was very cold outside, when I placed order there were only 2 people inside shop, I saw at least 25 other customers collecting their food. I got so fed up I asked for my money back only to get my food 2 minutes later. Kams has really gone downhill in the last couple of months and as a regular customer I cannot see myself going there for quite a while. An update with my food after NOT using Kams for 10 months. Service still shocking poor current wait time nearly 1 hour and there are others who have been waiting longer than me!!!!!
Reasonable takeaway. Has only ever taken cash. Staff are friendly. Would recommend.Food: 5/5
Ordered over the counter and waited 35 mins for just chips .the chips certainly were not worth the wait they were soggy and ended up being thrown away .
Excellent food and service, staff is always welcoming and nice. Food quality and portion is great for the price. It's my regular and favourite take away place for a quick, convenient meal on a busy or rainy day or simply when I'm feeling too lazy to cook on a Sunday. Definitely recommend Kams Fish and chips take away. They are always busy which goes to show that their food is good and I'm always a returning customer. Please do visit them. My favourite is chips and curry or king prawn in satay sauce with king prawn fried rice.
Awful place!! Foods disgusting and the attitude towards customers isn't any better !!! Steer clear
