Nice little Japanese restaurant in a quiet location. The food was good, flavours were good and the menu was varied with some interesting dishes! There is a sushi train in the restaurant which had stuff going around for a while, so I’m not sure what those dishes would be like but the ordered dishes were good. Not the best Japanese in Perth but it’s nice enough if you’re looking for a good Japanese restaurant in this area!
Food was okay but menu and service can be improved. Ordered item no 114 Chicken katsu curry donburi. Nowhere does it indicate beef so no one would thought to ask the question whether there is beef in it. Opened up my order and saw meat in there so called them to confirm what meat is it in the meal, the waitress still said chicken until I pointed out the meat in the curry. She said beef. Her attitude was appaling - "you didn’t ask what meat". I didn't ask because the menu said chicken and the next dish dish 115 is beef because it clearly said beef! Won't be going back. Thanks for ruining my lunch.
Amazing food! Very good service and the shusi are all fresh. Recommend the TaTaki beef my favorite and the Tempura Udon also super yummy! Don't miss it!
Food is good, however poor service. I have ordered seafood salad and they gave me seaweed salad. I realized this when I got back to the office. I called them and told them I’ll pay for the whole new seafood salad, but they should be ubering it to me as it was their mistake. Their response was ‘sorry we don’t do that. You can come back and pay for a whole new salad. That’s all.’ I think for a loyal customer that has come there almost once a week they can do better. Again, good food, poor service.
I just want to leave this review not this restaurant but the fish market same owner. They charge $8 for a tofu retail price $2.5 and $18 for very small amount of salmon sashimi. I can’t believe how they charge like this. This is 200% rip off price.
Been back here after 2 years. New management I think, such fresh shashimi. Quick service, great bento boxes and their tempura platter is nice too. Fresh sushi train sushi and wonderful bento boxes with huge servings .
Excellent sashimi. Beautiful section of salmon, thick pieces and very soft and tender. Will go back just for that. Served on a fancy bed of ice with a blue light in it which was a nice addition. 5/5 Soft shell crab was good not amazing. But that's cool : 3/5 Beef tataki was a bit tough and hard to chew : but everything else was delicious, the sauce, the toppings, the salad. 4/5 All dishes were served with simple but tasty salad, it's like they bothered. Shaved cabbage had delicious sauce on top. And a dollop of tasty seaweed.
Editing my review as the sushi on the train has improved significantly and it’s now amazing! I also recommend the food on the menu, everything is delicious. I also liked that it is a BYO venue! Went on a Friday night with a girl friend, we seated in the bar - it was lovely!
The quality of the sashimi here is excellent. The teriyaki chicken set had an excelent flavour and pleasantly creamy yet firm mouthfeel. The sushi train, though cheaper than places like Tao is a bit overpriced for what they offer. Recommend ordering off the menu.
The sushi on the train looked old, went around for a couple of hours without being temperature tested or refreshed. However the service was friendly and freshly made food was prompt and delicious. The freshly ordered sushi and hot food was amazing and extremely filling. Great value for money too.
