Sept2021: decided to go for a drive and .. one of those impromptu brunches happened here. And what a nice spot it is. Offering a good selection on the menu. I chose Coffee & "Waffles". No unexpected extras, just what was stated, and they delivered, fresh. So happy. Supporting a local artist is great to see.
A fond favorite of our Family. Such a quiant little cafe with all round friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is very well prepared, presented and full of flavour. Definitely fills a hungry tummy and the coffees are just as good. Bustling with energy, laughs, families, passerbys and regulars it's a must when visiting Plimmerton. 5 Rating! Kid-friendliness: They were so accomodating with my picky eaters. Parking: Roadside parking, with time limits between 30-90 mins depending on where you park. Wheelchair accessibility: Although the cafe is small I am sure with prior arrangements/reservations, a plan can be made for wheelchair accessibility.
Came here for ChoctoberFest great hot chocolate and tandoori wrap! Nice environment and friendly staff!
Really nice and atmospheric. The staff is friendly and I had a lovely conversation about books with a waitress. The food is a tad expensive -seven dollars for a few shortbread biscuits???- but it's a great place to stay and read while it rains outside.
A favourite place to have breakfast in the weekends. Rustic but lovey staff and the poached eggs are never overcooked unlike many other places. I recommend eggs florentine! Thanks for the many nice breakfasts!Food: 5/5
This morning we enjoyed breakfast at Kafe Oranje. Hubby and I don't eat out often as we are usually disappointed, both growing up in hospitality environments where attention to customer service was paramount. For context, we are both in our 40's! Husband ate the full breakfast and I had the breakfast burrito without bacon as I am a vegetarian. Today we are giving Kafe Oranje three stars for the following reasons: 1. The food - nicely presented, home-made elements and tasty 2. The coffee - nicely presented and good flavour also 3. The outdoor seating area options - a covered conservatory and the front footpath in the sun 4. The venue is dog-friendly, providing tie-up points and water bowls We are withholding two further stars for the following reasons: 1. The server at the front counter did not make eye contact or greet us when we arrived. It costs nothing to welcome a customer 2. The server did not ask if we were here for coffee, dining in or taking away. This would have triggered them to offer us a menu and glean more information from us. 3. The menu did not offer a vegetarian breakfast. In this day and age - c'mon, we're onto vegan breakfasts now let alone vegetarian! - this is a little difficult to fathom. It was suggested by a senior person, not the server who seemed to be brand-new that we could take the eggs on toast option and add extras to build up a breakfast. At $5 per extra item, this would soon have mounted into being a very expensive vegetarian breakfast! This is why I opted for the breakfast burrito without the bacon which was lovely. 4. The servers solely delivered food. They did not glance at the table to see if anything was needed, nor ask us if we might like some other condiments e.g. tomato sauce. Twice we had to go in search of sugar for our coffee, and then salt & pepper for our meals. Fortunately we had our cutlery and napkins but it is doubtful our servers would not have noticed if we didn't. It appears to us that there are young serving staff here who have not been instructed in the basics of standard hospitality service. Sadly this is all too common nowadays. We hope management will take learning from this review instead of seeing it as criticism; we enjoyed our meals and drinks. Except for these minor but important aspects, it would have been perfect. Attentive service, and the basic greeting of customers is so simple to teach and learn, therefore it costs practically nothing, and it makes the overall experience so much better. Wishing the Kafe Oranje team all the best.
Great food and coffee. You must try this cafe. Excellent staff too.Food: 5/5
Great cabinet food, coffee and a nice range of teas available. Indoor and outdoor seating is all great although it can be a little noisy inside on busy days Wheelchair accessibility: Small step into the store and not much room for wheelchairs without some support, but good space outside

Lovely yummy food. Very well presented too and really nice coffee. Ample parking just around the corner at the beach front
