One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to. The curries were amazing. The tandoori chicken came on a smoking hot plate and it was succulent and tasty. My 7 year old really enjoyed dinner and he usually doesn’t care too much for Indian cuisine. Staff were attentive but relaxed. Highly recommended!
Amazing food and great place. The staff here are so friendly and you get such great value for the food. Definitely will be coming back here. The atmosphere is amazing. So full after all the food we ordered. Best indian I've had.
With so many Indian restaurants its sometimes difficult to find one that hits your taste buds. Kadhai does just that. The flavours are rich and with so many layers of spice without being overbearing. They understand curry and trust them if you need guidance or recommendations. Be sure to take their garlic naan... And enjoy it in any of their flavoursome gravies. Definitely my go to curry house in Richmond
Absolutely disgusting service, filfthy kitchen and poor quantity control. 1 Star is too generous. I ordered a butter chicken and rice over the phone and PAID for delivery. The butter chicken was super spicy and they didn’t disclose that on the menu or anything so I asked if I could get a non spicy one if they make it. They said come down and we’ll give you a mild. I came down and they sent me back to get the rest of the food and bring it back. So I make a SECOND strip back and when I get there the second time they have a tiny container of butter chicken with 4 small pieces of chicken throughout. And then they have the AUDACITY to conplain that I “ate all the chicken pieces” when I had 3 mouthfuls and couldn’t take anymore. I had to argue to even get a new container of rice because I stirred the original one through my other dinner. Absolutely stingy place and don’t expect anything flash as their service is as good as their kitchen hygiene, GARBAGE.
All I tasted here is the Indian street food on an unlimited street food buffet. The street food were so yummy, especially the pappadi chat. Pari puri could have been better. For an unlimited buffet, I would have expected little more items and also some more time. The given 45 minutes are limited, you reach little late, you miss it. The place is easy locate too.
Kadhai serves delicious North Indian cuisine. Friendly service and dishes ordered are promptly served, hot & steaming. The Basmati rice is cooked to perfection. Owner Hardhi will take the time to explain any questions you may have regarding any dish on the menu. A lovely restaurant to dine in.
I was a bit worried ordering from here because of all the hit and miss reviews, but it was all fantastic! We got delivery, Malai Kofta, Papdi Chat, 1/2 a Tandoori chicken, naan and rice. It was all very flavourful, a bit spicier then most places, which was great. The Papdi Chat was lovely and crisp and the Naan was soft and chewy. Really great price for what we got I think it ended up at $40 delivered, and lots of leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I think this is out new go-to indian =
I am vegan, these guys are NOT vegan!! They may have been in the past but no longer. I am visiting from Sydney, made a booking. I turned up and was shocked to find that all the vegetarian dishes have cream in their sauces and lots of cheese! They said they haven’t updated the website, pulled vegan menu! I have NEVER had any issues elsewhere getting vegan options in Australia or USA. Really disappointed!
On 23rd feb 2017 we ordered dinner veg & non veg starter + Roti + veg & non veg curry + veg biryani from Khadai Richmond restauranent for 9 people. That was one of the worst food we have ever had in australia .in non veg starter we ordered chicken 65 and it was hardly having 4-5 very small pieces that also with mustard takda.in veg starter we ordered veg Manchuria and it was having so-so taste. In main course we ordered chicken vindaloo,you cant believe it was too salty that we can hardly had single bite.In veg curry we ordered shahi paneer & navrata korma, both was having common diluted gravy with no taste and shahi paneer was not even having 4 pieces.Roti and biryani was also having so-so quality . They delivered us really vary low grade quality food and funny part is when i called to restaurant next evening for complaining about there food quality ,some Hardin patel picked the call and he was giving me response like for him its every day thing and he is used to with such kind of complaints. I will never ever recommend this restaurant to any one.
