I recently dined at Afghan House in Merrylands, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.nnThe staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure we felt right at home. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality these days, but Afghan House truly delivers.nnAs for the food—wow! The portions were generous, perfect for sharing or satisfying a big appetite. Every dish was flavorful and freshly prepared, showcasing authentic Afghan cuisine at its best.nnIf you’re looking for a clean, friendly, and delicious dining experience, I highly recommend Afghan House in Merrylands. I’ll definitely be back!
We stopped here with our guide, Shazia, for a lunch of long saffron rice with lamb, minted lamb dumplings, pickles, minted yoghurt, and hot sauce. We admired the beautiful decor as Shaz told us stories of Afghan equestrian sports and common street food stalls. Staff were friendly, and the service was quick. It's a popular place as the food is so good. I'll definitely be back.
Delicious afghani food. Highly recommend the Kabuli palaw and slow cooked beans in afghani curry. Best to be washed down by chai tea : staff was very nice and fast service
Lovely chicken curry, rice and mix grill. The bread is delicious. Chicken is good and nicely cooked. The curry is served in a traditional looking metal bowl and goes very well with bread or rice. I am not quite sure of mix salad as I find the pickled cabbage is a tad sour for my liking.
A very good Afghan cuisine however, I experienced multiple issues for the past few occasions I visited this place.nnThe meal was coldnThe rice was as under cookednThe kebab was over cookednThe bread was coldnnI hope I would have a better experience next time
