Only one problem - Cannot fail the food which is close to authentic classic Italian cuisine. The special pasta con funghi was well executed, the pizza are well above average with an amazing pizza dow, entrees are simple but classic enough - however the wine list is the only one I have seen in an a la carte restaurant which doesn’t mention the producers name, the region or country of origin or the vintage, which means you are going blind with your selection - at $65 per bottle your getting a lower quality wine with a serious markup I taste wines for a living if it wasn’t for that it would be a four and a half star - I’ll come back though, coz it’s not all about wine ;
Arrived for a Friday dinner, authenticity is a strength within Just Italy. Staff are friendly, welcoming and overall hospitable. Extremely rapid turnover with orders in the kitchen, amazing to see how fast the food was delivered, fresh and hot, love to see that. Outdoor seating area replicates a busy night in Italy, helped to create the vibe as if you were in Italy. Would definitely recommend to others, Thank you!
So disappointing! Ordered the gnocchi with 9 hour slow cooked lamb ragu @$34. Appeared to be more like gnocchi with 9 hour slow cooked tomatoes with the occasional strand of meat. No flavour and, as already mentioned, virtually no meat. As someone who makes their own slow cooked meals, I expect better when I eat out.
What a find in the middle of Mentone- literally. Classy, authentic Italian food to a high standard. Stylish chic. Great! Lovely Italian staff. A great little escape to Just Italy. Glad to discover something so nice and so local to me.
The presentation of the San Daniele pizza is a visual masterpiece, with its delicate layers of prosciutto perfectly draped over a golden, crisp crust, creating an inviting and elegant dish that promises both flavor and sophistication.
