Amazing experience!! Sitting in the middle a rain forest and having this quality breakfast is one of a kind experience for food and nature lovers.. Hospitality was so nice-very friendly and helpful staff…we didn’t have long time here as we were heading to crocodile watch ride to try different items and spend time.. ordered an omelette and a chai latte.. omelette was amazing and chai latte had a different tasty I never hadbut spicy for my taste and they seems to use freshly grounded cinnamon powder Overall great experience and wish we had little longer time to spend there..
Best restaurant in the Daintree! - the food was as good as some of the best restaurants in Sydney - both mine and my partners wine was infallible - the venue was so picturesque dining over a tropical lagoon with the sounds of the rainforest coming to life as the sunset - the service was exceptional with careful attention given to dietary requirements!
We enjoyed the dining experience with a menu incorporating local flavours. Recommend the scallops with truffle, reef fish, kangaroo and halloumi and quinoa dishes as they were well balanced with sauces and accompaniments. The orange and almond cake with syrup was delicious. Vegetarian risotto and Wicked sorbet was ok. The architecture is stylish and beautiful rainforest and pond setting created a feeling of being immersed in the jungle. As evening fell the forest came alive with bird calls and frogs. Also mosquitoes in the wet season so wear insect repellent. The service was excellent with friendly, helpful staff including a lovely UK couple enthusiastic about the region who made great recommendations.
We dined 2 nights in a row as we stayed in the Daintree Eco Lodge. We ordered 3 mains total, which were all cooked perfectly: beef rump and lamp rump cap pink throughout without a thick grey border, and the barramundi was easy to pull apart. Can't recommend this place enough!
Food was average and the flavours were simply not there. We tried different dishes and they were over seasoned or just too plain. Despite the food, the setting is beautiful. Service was friendly.
Beautiful and quiet place to stay, just what I needed to unwind. Staff here are very friendly and complements to the chef as the meals here I had were absolutely amazing
Some of the best food we ever had
Made a booking, with phone number provided, got confirmation - then drove 45 minutes to get there and they were closed. Neither the booking site, FORK, nor the restaurant itself bothered to tell clients it had closed due to water damage. And the website is still showing it as open and probably still taking bookings. Very unprofessional.
An upmarket restaurant with lovely presented food. My favourite was the fish soup, which was a concert of flavours.
Great meals, amazing hospitality from all staff. Definitely must visit on trip to the daintree
