About 3 years ago this company called my wife offering to get her a ppi claim back , my wife refused , don’t know how they did it but next we start getting letters starting we had signed up to a no win no fee check on pip…i sent these letters back to them telling them we have not authorised them to do this and to desist. Letters kept coming stating we were owed money from a Barclay card , and they had organised the refund of monies owing , we are unaware of any Barclay card not having had one! Finally we are getting demands For £551.04 stating we have been settled out by Barclays and that they now need paying…..as yet i have not been contacted by Barclay card….we have now had aDCBL debt collection bailiffs letter stating we owe ups financial The sum of £551.04 and they have been requested to collect this sum….really getting peed off with this company , its now harassment, i am an ex serving police officer and am pushing this to the police fraud team and also sending it to watch dog…. I have now done my own investigation and apparently barlycard took over an old sky credit card and we are owed £17.00 and a few pence on that card they state .its to late to collect this money as its now out of date to claim it …not that i am bothered by £17.00 but i am extremely fed up with the manner that this does buisness without consent and demanding extortionate amounts ie £551.04 for supposedly getting me a refund of £17.00. If they are that desperate for the £17.00 i will send it to them . I will see them in court and let them explain how they can charge me for work that as yet not resulted in any payment to us from Barclay card. If they had done a job with our authority and the charges were a proportion of any payment i had recieved i would think that fair and not dispute it. . But no refund no charge no payment of a highly inflated charge for services not recieved or authorised. Do not deal with this low life company all they cause is stress and anguish …i am now reporting them to the Finacial conduct authority and the Finacial ombudsman….
Awful company. They told me I had PPI and that I'd have to pay a £10 admin fee which I duly paid. Months later I got a cheque for £2.27. A month or two after that, I got a demand letter saying that I owed them about £7 in commission and that if I didnt pay they would commence CCJ proceedings. Nearly two years on, they've contacted me again via phone to give me an update. I refused all details and asked them all calls recorded...make a note of time and date to take my personal data from their records. Hopefully they'll take the hint and foxtrot oscar.
So JPS send me letter 4 days ago asking for £380 admin fee as found ppi, but I haven't returned the forms, invoice for time spent!! Funny how I receive a text message today asking me to complete my application and sign the forms. Take my number off your database, you are not getting £380 or any signed forms. Next contact, financial ombudsman... Tick tock 29th August is coming.... Thankfully!!
DO NOT USE, they wont show you the terms and conditions until AFTER youve had your money if youre successful, they took over 4 months, never get back to you and charge 30% + VAT! vat which they can claim back so thats another charge your paying for effectively. I didnt pay them when I saw their terms and condition charges for sending a letter was £17.25, an email £17.25 and a text £6 just to remind you to pay! Unfair contract, Im waiting for them to take me to court, lets see if they dare......stay away UPDATE, I stood my ground over the extra charges and they did take me to court using DCBL off the TV. Ive just left court this morning and I won a moral victory, only had to pay them what I owed them anyway, must have cost them a small fortune in solicitors fees, well over 1.2k over a £300 debt, this has taken 18mths only to be dealt with in court in 20mins, judge saw right through there claim, wrong amounts, lack of evidence, they only won as I admitted I owed them some money, which I knew anyway. DONT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY, con men riding on the back of the PPI claims merrygoround, god knows what they do now, but steer clear.
Managed to get me a small amount of PPI from my credit card company but a high rate of commission on an amount less than £90. Also, keen to send out their invoices but a cheque they say was posted on September 23 hasn’t arrived on October 2 and today I had not one invoice from them but two!
I wish I’d reviewed them before I agreed to let them do my PPI. I’ve more or less done it all myself. Unless they find the first address that’s it. I had to search electoral role myself to find exact past addresses - road and postcode wasn’t enough. They said I had no account with HSBC but I’d been with them 10 years. I had to constantly keep calling them to track things and only then would they look into it. Never phone back when they say they will. Yet I got an invoice for my PPI service before they’d even told me I’d got any PPI due back. They’re very good at phoning you when it’s chasing payment. Plus they charge you VAT and the bank take off VAT. Honestly don’t bother just contact the banks direct. I’ve ended up having to anyway and JPS still expect payment. Steer clear.
Don't go near them! Whatever their site may say, if you see 20% it's a lie. They take 30% plus VAT off the gross refund before the taxman has his cut. So you essentially pay even more that you expect on the refund that comes to you! Then you have just 7 days to pay or they start applying interest........
