I always resort to Joy Cupcakes for a quick and reliable gift. I love how they come in a cute box, with stickers to mark which cupcakes are vegan or gluten free. Offer a variety of cupcakes that change daily. Be quick, as they sell out towards the afternoon. The cupcakes themselves taste natural and "airy", and are made with natural ingredients. Staff are always helpful in recommending flavours. Cupcakes are $6 each, but I'm happy to splurge if they're for a gift!
Tried their sticky date flavour and salted caramel. While they look so good, the cake itself was very light and airy. Whilst it was nice it was so small that it felt like you ate tiny thing. And the cream is massive, just as big as the cake. Not a big fan of sticky date one, there is some orange taste to their cream. I like the salted caramel cream better, there was a little bit of toffee hard bit on top which was beautiful. But for what you pay, it was very unsatisfying. The cake is just not dense enough. I might buy to gift as they look nice but for myself, I don’t think I will buy them.
These cupcakes are AMAZING!!! Any time I want a little treat, I know exactly where to go! I’ve also purchased them for gifts, particularly for my “hard to buy for” friends. With vegan AND Gluten free products available, all bases are covered! And as for the the taste? Their name truly says it all!
Joy Cupcakes are the BEST! We ordered in May for my daughters 18th and covid lock down came again, so we had to postpone. This happened numerous times, and the staff were so kind and accommodating, absolutely love these ladies. Finally we got them and they were delicious, so much so that we ordered again for my other daughters birthday weeks later. Every body enjoyed them and kept coming back for more!
I bought the vegan choc on choc and the orange polenta as we were catering for allergies. The cupcakes were delicious and the service lovely. I was even given a cool bag as it was a 38 degree day. Definitely going to be a family regular now!
Gorgeous cupcakes! I stopped in here with my partner to grab dessert. I'm blind and the counter staff were great, explained all the options and gave advice on the flavours. It's really nice to see people putting in the effort to be accessible.
This is the best cupcake place I know. Their cakes are delicious and complex not just sugary stodge like many other companies. Cake is light, frosting has different yummy flavours. We buy ours fresh from Sth Melbourne market. I’ve tried the competition as well - Joy is the best!
I think this is the best cup cake in the town, they make all their curds and preserves in house using with only real fruit. Their buttercream is so soft and smooth, unlike another cup cake so sugary. My favor is rose & pistachio.

Delicious, fresh & beautifully presented. Black Forest cake parcel was a hit with my partner for recent 2nd! birthday during lockdown ;- Delivered promptly, safely & without hassle. This is a slice taken on our daily allowed walk ;- I've previously ordered a bunch of cupcakes for my eye-surgeon & staff, after they looked after me so kindly, also during lockdown surgery cancellations etc. Lovely range of GF options & flavours for many tastes - again delivered during reasonable hours, quickly, fresh & all were delighted.
