Quaint little mall with many locally run businesses, but a little tired and due a refresh. Sushi shop next to Countdown is nice, and the Schekers Deli is worth a visit.
I like this little mall. It has everything one needs. Food shop, two dollar shop, pharmacy, shoe shop, outdoor shop, book shop, supplements shop, phone shop, hair cutting and massage services, along with various Cafes and eating options. Every time we go, it is very well visited. I do agree that the outside could use a bit of a spruce up, but the inside is good.
The mall is a place to be. If you're coming in from the Johnsonville Road footpath the front door of the mall when it is closed does not clearly indicate that is in fact the mall so you need to look out carefully.
Some awesome kid friendly areas. Great facilities and shops.
In need of an update, but it seems to be useful. I am actually quite surprised that it is so run down, considering where it is. It speaks to the owners of the centre itself, and not of the shops, as they look to be doing their best.
The JSC serves a useful role in the shopping precinct but each time I have visited the mall it just doesn't have the buzz of excitement that going to say Queensgate or the mall in Porirua has, or even similar size malls say in Auckland like Milford. Perhaps it is just the size, or lack of range of shops that attract customers. No covered parking which can be an issue in Wellington's wet weather, however plenty of outdoor parking. Having a Countdown in the Mall ensures a steady flow of shoppers in and out but not a lot of life in the rest that I have personally ever seen.
Good parking, Some good shops, Chemist shop and Whitcoulls, but not as good as it once was. Development been held back by the building owners.
Great place to have shopping, close to motorway. Only thing coming in n going out of parking, can be long wait as both sides is buay road.
The mall has come a long way after it fell into a slump looking like a cheep junk yard . Now keep making it better than it is now.
Where did all the shops go? Pretty much just a thoroughfare to Countdown, even though there's a Countdown LITERALLY across the road.
