It's a decent library and have a great collection of books. The reading place downstairs is fine but during the day it may get bit noicy as it is next ton the Bus and the traim station. It has Wellington City Council desk as well where you can pay your rates ! Rember the City Council desk operate /open from Monday to Friday From 10:00 A.M to 04:45 P.M . The City Council desk is closed on Weekends and Public holidays.
Not only is this a fantastic library, but it's a brilliant hub for Johnsonville and a really magical place to spend an afternoon. In particular, the entire team at the Hive is so amazing and helpful.nnThanks to their help, I was able to make the amazing DM screen pictured below, while more recently they really went above and beyond to help me make some coasters.nnWe're really lucky to have a place like this that really encourages creativity and exploration!
Favourite library in Wellington City. Family friendly - has a great kids section, pools next door, lots of different areas to read and work. Cafe is lovely. Awesome park outside next door. Love that there is the Hive also, where you have laser cutting done, or use the sound studio. Very inspiring place for creativity and gathering community.
Oh we love this library. Not a walking distance close, but it's big, there's coffee shop, and just few steps to the swimming pool. We always visit this library every week, grab some books with my son, or just sitting there, chilling. There's kids lego making event every month too!
I love this place, it's added so much value to Johnsonville. The staff seem nice, there are so many services there, very spacious, a great selection of books and it's a lovely space to spend time in.
