Entered the establishment and waited five minutes by the front door there were around Eight people crammed into a 10 foot waiting area to be seated.nnChildren running around in the lobby drinking smoothiesnnI take a menu and go sit outside and decide to just go to the service window and get the strawberry mocha. I was going to get lunch but the service and how busy it was was frankly inappropriate.nnI stood by the door holding it open for waitresses and people entering then I lost my place in line… not enough staff, rude customers, extremely frustratingnnThe iced drink was surprisingly good. They have dedicated barristers making everythingnnI imagine the food is nice, but I didn’t have the patients to wait on poor service
Under various guises over the years, this site has been one of Ashburton's High Street Road stars. But probably never better than it is right now under the stewardship of the Joe Frank crew.nnThe welcome and service is cheerful and very eager to please and accommodate you. There's expensive fine dining where you're not made to feel as looked after as this. My visit was after a meal just to do some quick catch up work, so it was coffee for me. A beautifully made flat white was the perfect quiet tonic after a hectic few hours, and I have little doubt it would be difficult to see anyone else local do better than this.nnAdd that there's a fantastic spacious area at the back, and I'm counting down 'til when I can get the family here for a sit down meal to soak in the positivity of Joe Frank even further.nnBrilliant option, worthy of your attention.
Fantastic in every way. Conveniently located along the Anniversary Trail so perfect to pop by for a drink. Patio area was beautiful and well lit. Food and drinks were delicious, pictured is the brown rice salad and matcha. Friendly service. Highly recommend!
We have been coming here about fortnightly for almost 10 years.nnThe food is top notch, and the service is excellent. Wife and I ordered a sandwich as a mid morning snack to share, and they served 2 halves on separate plates without asking.nnCoffee is genuinely one of the best in town coming from an ex barista. Clean, milk never burnt.nnThanks for the years of good food and drink. See you in a fortnight.
We love Joe Frank Cafe! The coffee is consistently great and the food is always fresh and delicious. It’s such a family-friendly spot, which makes it easy to visit with kids. One of the best things is that they’re open even on public holidays, super convenient. Perfect stop when you’re out for a walk or run. Highly recommend!
