Been there several times. Always great authentic northern food taste. The portion is big.nSweet and sour pork is a must try! Perfectly cooked crispy outside with bold flavour.nPork back bone is my favourite. Just put your gloves on and dig in.nOne of my favourite restaurants.
I ordered fried pork in spoon . There is very thick flour cover and little meat. Very oil and sweet. It's supposed to be a famous northeast dish but I was so sick eating it. I have tried simmered pork with bean burn. The veggies were so overcooked and too soft. doesn't taste good. Same as other dishes. taste much better
If you’re after traditional North Eastern Chinese cuisine with a large menu, then Jilin is the place. They have so many dishes on offer with large serving sizes. Their most unique item is the cornmeal wok stew, which only available on pre order. Our favourite dish was the Guo Bao rou crispy sweet pork, which had a slight tang it. The service was also really fast but do expect to line up on a busy night.
Although the taste was OK, the service was so terrible. The food took a very long time to arrive, and there was not even an apology. Each server had a blank expression and constantly urged us to finish our meal quickly. Never back again
The restaurant offers delicious North East Chinese cuisine with authentic flavors. The dishes are well-prepared and reflect the traditional tastes of the region. It's a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy hearty, flavorful meals.
