I'm disappointed that I never tried this gem of a place until recently. They have an extensive menu, which at times can be concerning. But it was a packed out place and the food others were getting looked good, so I wasn't concerned. I ordered their signature Ramen, which has now taken top spot for my fave ramen on the GC as it was damn delicious. The pork was nice thick slices, Jammy nitamago eggs, broth was a nice thick consistency and very flavourful and noodles cooked to perfection. Price point really good and Service also friendly considering how busy it was. Will definitely be back
The best Japanese restaurant on the Gold Coast. I’ve been here for more than 10 years but the quality is always improving. If you are a ramen lover this should be your go to. Can’t wait for our next visit. Thanks Ryoji-san : Parking: Free parking in the building.
It’s our first time to visit the JFX Noodle & Tapas Bar yesterday for dinner. Pork Katsu is delicious and love the ramen too. Please go and visit them when they just open if you didn’t have a reservation. I would suggest you to make a reservation if you have more than 5 people to dine in. Really good food. Huge menu and drinks selection. Plenty of seating, very friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean. Loved the spicy ramen. Toilet nearby for use of restaurant patrons with key.
I’m curious about the black ramen my friend mentioned. The colour comes from the black garlic. Worth trying, but don’t forget to customise it. It’s too oily for me. I ordered hard noodles with less salty broth and asked the waitress if I missed any other options; she said no…….everything else was fine.Recommended dishesTonkotsu Ramen
Asian tapas! Great food. Awesome for groups. Customer service was really accommodating and the ambience had a great vibe. We had the karage chicken, prawn & chili coriander gyoza’s , salmon sashimi and the yakisoba noodles!
A year later I had Katsu meal $23.9 and Lucky beef croquettes $7.8 for 2 today. Be honest Katsu was good, it’s crunchy outside soft inside… but it’s just some moisture gone for me Croquette was a little bit watery….maybe I expected too much I’d love to try ramen or premium beef next time I had lunch just before 1pm. It’s so busy there They have short staff now,maybe. So I waited for my food quite long time Gyoza was very simple taste. Ramen was ok.... Slice pork was delicious I’ll try different dishes next time

What a find!! After having lived in Japan for 10 years I'd like to consider that I know my way around a good bowl of ramen. JFX Noodle & Tapas Bar does not disappoint. The depth of flavour in their soup stock was terrific. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The chashu, nitomago and other toppings were first rate. Such a good bowl of ramen, we'll definetely be back! Their other menu items looked brilliant as well. The wagu beef looked really high quality and generous in cut. The next table ordered some fried aji and that looked brilliant as well. And Orion beer from Okinawa as well! Things can't get any better. The wait staff were attentive without being overbearing. Their prices were reasonable for the quality and serving sizes. Highly recommend!! Also free parking is available under the building as well.
