A pleasant café with some strong points, though a few items didn’t quite match my personal preference.nn Long Black – 4.5/5nThe acidity was fairly restrained, with a subtle nutty aroma that I enjoyed. I ordered a large size, and it felt slightly over-diluted, which reduced some of the depth and lingering finish I usually look for in a long black.nn Cappuccino – 4.5/5nThe milk texture was smooth and well-balanced, but the foam layer was quite thin, as was the dusting of chocolate powder. As someone who prefers a stronger, slightly more bitter coffee profile, I found it a little too light and watery for my taste.nn Tiramisu – 5/5nDefinitely the highlight. It’s not overly sweet, which I appreciated. The sponge soaked in liqueur syrup pairs surprisingly well with the rich cream. The alcohol flavour is subtle rather than overpowering, and the cream melts beautifully in the mouth. The cocoa isn’t immediately obvious but gradually unfolds as you eat, creating a well-layered flavour experience.nn Pistachio Croissant – 4.3/5nA crispy croissant filled with custard cream, topped with pistachio spread and a generous amount of crushed pistachios. It wasn’t as sweet or heavy as I expected, and the nutty pistachio flavour works very well with the flaky pastry. However, it does become a bit rich after a few bites. Great alongside coffee, but a little overwhelming on its own.nnOverall, the tiramisu was excellent and worth returning for. The coffee and pastries were enjoyable, though they leaned slightly lighter and sweeter than my personal preference.
My new best friend, chocolate salted caramel mud cake. It's new for Jenny's, it is satisfying not heavy like a standard mud cake. I'm love it!!
All the food is baked fresh daily,sandwhiches,cakes,croissants.nTea& coffee,hot/ cold drinks.nSeating available,but always packed so grab a seat when you can, or get takeaway,cakes put in nice box for easy travel.
I like the huge variety of pastries here! The Oreo pastry in particular was a perfect match with a black coffee .
So happy to have Jennys Bakery Norwood in our neighbourhood!nThe food and confectionery are absolutely delicious — beautifully made, fresh, and full of flavour. The pastries are next level, and the coffee is always perfect. Everything tastes high quality and made with care. Such a great local spot!
