Best fish and chips in Portarlington! The quality and quantity for price was incredible. We visited the food truck at the top of the hill in between Harding and pier street.nA couple weeks ago I purchased 1 small measly flake at a competitors shop for $10, yesterday I got a family pack of 4 massive flakes, 4 crumbed prawns, calamari and a tonne of chips all for only $50.nThe best!
Always the best mussels in town! Drove all the way to Robe to enjoy them on the beach!
This is the second time we visited this shop and it is awesome. Seafood really fresh. The mussels both times from here have been fresh and delicious. The fish as well. Yesterday, we had their large cooked prawns for lunch with sour dough baguette. They were fresh, tasty and delicious. Yesterday evening, we started our meal with raw tuna, wasabi and soy and seared tuna to die for. You could taste the freshness. We then followed with mussels in cider, tomato, fennel and celery broth and panko crumbed snapper. It was an exquisite meal. The ladies at the store are also friendly, welcoming and have an excellent sense of humour. We look forward to seeing you all again on our next trip!!!
Visited near closing time today and the ladies were so sweet and helpful. Some of the freshest fish we have seen in a while.
The freshness is definitely there, and the range of seafood is very very good, somewhat surprised how close the price is to the domestic outlets but definitely better, if we weren't already in the area you wouldn't make the trip. Definitely have to take advantage of being here to purchase fresh good quality Australian seafood.
