Fantastic “Jefferies Provedore” - a “Supermarket plus More” in Blackburn, Vic.nVisited this newly-opened store today and was extremely impressed! They have a great range and quality of fresh fruit, veges, flowers, meat, lots of “prepared with love” ready-to-eat meals and food, locally produced products e.g., coffee beans, quality chocolate, meat from local butchers, a great range of gluten free products etc. and also gorgeous gifts. Plus, I found many shelf items I’d been searching for a long time too. I had their chicken sausage rolls, my husband had the beef ones and they were so delicious heated for us instore by them too, and great coffee from their takeaway café which also sells lunch/snack items – all excellent quality and at reasonable prices. It truly is a “one stop shop” – I bought fresh food, flowers as a gift, shelf items, fruit, cheese and pre-prepared food, and am delighted with the choices available, the quality and the prices.nnThey have a great range instore, also supporting local businesses and the families behind them. Parking is really easy undercover, 2 hours free, enter from Railway Road. They also obviously have a commitment to supporting local suppliers, standards, quality and a wide variety of choice. It was such a pleasure to shop there - the ambience is really warm and welcoming, there are loads of interesting products, and the team members are very friendly and helpful.nnWould highly recommend this amazing store and I definitely suggest a visit.
While I had to look up what a provedore is, I knew from the website that it was a delicatessen and fancy food shop. What I didn’t know was that it also has the craziest and most varied beer selection I’ve seen in a while! Sure, the deli meats, baked goods, and high end ready meals are worth visiting for, but the beer selection is what kept me busy while my wife looked at the funky homewares.

Great little local food store with an in-store cafe. Haven’t tried their coffee yet but the croissants are really good.nnA little bit basic as far as food stuff goes - nothing you couldn’t get at Colesworths - but the ready-made meals are absolutely amazing and are the reason I keep coming back! Highly recommend the single-serve vegetable lasagne mind-blowing and the family-size quiches.nnI’m very lucky to live nearby!
Beautiful little shop, I was served by Matilda and she cut me the freshest, most amazing prosciutto on request. Lovely service and lovely food!! Will be back.
