Was a little bit confused at first as to where the store was, but once i found it, received great customer service from the female staff member around Samsung and alternative option Tiles.nAfter walking around looking at the Apple Tags and trying to find the Samsung option, there were two male staff members standing nearby who didn't seem interested in helping - they seemed content in discussing Malware between themselves.nRegardless, the service provided by the female employee was 10/10!
Armaan goes above and beyond to help you out when trying to buy a TV. He is very knowledgeable and gives you accurate info. Purchased a TCL C7k the HDR looks amazing. However, the motion handling was terrible and the processor accentuates film grain and colours incorrectly, he helped facilitate the return and allowed me to upgrade to a Samsung OLED instead. Amazing stuff.
Purchased a pair of Shokz OpenRun headphones from JB Hi-Fi in August 2023. In December 2025, one of the arms snapped despite normal use and no accident or misuse.nnI returned to JB Hi-Fi seeking a remedy under Australian Consumer Law, as premium headphones at this price point should reasonably last longer than just over two years.nnAt first the store manager stated that there was no physical damage he could see, which from the photos you can clearly see this was a lie to deny any fault with the product.nThey then declined to provide any remedy and advised they would not assist because the manufacturer’s warranty had expired.nnI explained that I was not making a manufacturer warranty claim and that ACL applies independently of warranty periods, but this was still declined.nnAs a result, I have now lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs Victoria to seek assistance resolving the matter.nnDisappointing experience given JB Hi-Fi’s size and reputation, and the lack of understanding of consumer law at store level.
I had a very disappointing experience with the store. The manager, James, was unhelpful when I requested an exchange for a Samsung phone I had purchased just an hour earlier. The exchange policy was not clearly explained, and it seems decisions are made at the manager’s discretion, which feels inconsistent and potentially biased.nThe phone was unopened and not set up, yet I was refused an exchange citing “privacy reasons,” which I found confusing and unreasonable. This raises concerns about the level of support provided to customers.nUnfortunately, this is not my first negative experience. On a previous occasion, I purchased a laptop that had a completely non-functional screen when I tried to set it up at home. I had to insist on an exchange, which was frustrating.nOverall, the store does not feel customer-friendly, and based on these experiences, I would not choose to purchase from here again.
First time at this jb hi fi store at Camberwell and I was impressed with the layout of the store and they have a huge range of physical media DVDs and blu rays which is good to see and the staff are very friendly
