I bought a V.S. Commodé Wagon in February 2014, body was in good condition, lots of old cars, i bought what was i think an ex fleet Commodé, the owner was friendly and allowed a test drive. He fixed any mandatory things like tyres etc. Got an RAA test which he was OK with. Lots of choice of older cars, mine eventually needed new headlining, tyres, engine mounts, panhard rod bushes, front struts, now it needs new tailshaft bearing and inlet manifold gaskets which leak water into cylinders the rear washer jet was blocked and one liftér is Noisy, I'm also replacing the carpet too, gave it a full service myself, replaced the engine pulleys plugs, leads, serpentine belt etc.The lock mechanism on the transmission broke, all within 3 years of buying. I did all the repairs myself with parts from u pull it and Repco, all to be expected on an older 1996 car. But hey he is a cheapie used car place so expect no A++ Cars what you see is what you get. I enjoyed working on the car madé it a project. I would definitely purchase again from them if I need a cheapie oldér used car but get a full say RAA inspection before purchase. The prices are good but if you don't do the work yourself it could be expensive. P.s. i was and still am happy with the purchase because I sort of knew what I was in for and the RAA inspection helped a lot. All in all it was a good experience for me.
0 stars. Anywhere is better than this place. Purchased a car 4 years ago. Made it 5 minutes down the road to get petrol as the tank was empty. Timing chain And body module went both before I made it home 15 minutes away. Had to replace both. They made excuse after excuse and then refused to take my calls after I refused their extended warranty. Even after 4 years I still have wax all over my back window and didnt even have a spare tyre. The ones on the car were defective too. Avoid this place if you don't want to end up wasting your money.
I bought a used Honda Accord from this dealer. Biggest nightmare I ever had. The engine warning light came on a day after purchase. I took the car back to the dealer 3 times but the issue never really got resolved. The engine light came on again days later, so they never really fixed the problem. The cat convertor was faulty and very expensive to replace. I ended up selling the car a year later at half the price I paid for it, was just glad to get rid of the lemon.
Drove 1 hour and 45mins to see a particular car that was still advertised online and was still there with a price on it when we got there, we inquired about it to find out he had sold it a week before and just left the add on! But seeing the car in person I would have definitely walked away, he made it out be immaculate but had lots of dents and scuffs that was never mentioned in the add but luckily I found a nicer and cheaper version of the same car around the corner
Brought a car for my pregnant partner 4 months ago we have not even had the car for 2 weeks in total.the dealer ship couldn't care less about the customer or the car once they have there money and we have had our car gone for over a month at a time to get thongs like wheel bearings replaced or getting a new rocker cover gasket so jobs that take less than a day to do.they keep yourcar for over a month at a time
Do not believe the 3mth warranty this dodge car yard gives, I bought a car there just a month ago the first week I bought it I took it to my mechanic for a service and a check over of the car it all checked ok except a oil leak which was cover up wit silicone, he suggested to take back it back and get fixed under the warranty and after it’s done he’ll check to see what was done. Well seven day’s later having my car sitting in their dodge backyard mechanic shop, they were rude as hell wouldn’t tell me what was going on he even hanged up on me not very nice people at all. I bought my car home took back to my mechanic and lord be hold it was covered with more silicone on top of silicone, bolts were broken it was a disaster I was shocked when he showed me the photos of the work that was done!!!! Very disappointed not so much on the car but the ones that work especially the ONE who sold it to me. There’s plenty of good car yards around do your research and read the reviews before entering those gates, I wish I had.
Dealt with dodgy Dave, thought I could give the bloke the benefit of the doubt but he sold me a car with not one, but two failed window motors and didn't feel like it was important enough to disclose. Quoted a minimum of $800 to repair. I wouldn't recommend buying from this dealership to anyone, if you don't like being ripped off, this isn't the dealership for you
I purchased way back in 2014 a Toyota Starlet from Jax car sales. No problems with the car what so ever. Only sold in 2020 back to Toyota due to the faulty Takata airbag. I would still have it. The Jax sales experience, I was more than satisfied. I'd definitely make another purchase there when ready for another car.
Bought my first car, Holden Astra 1999 for only $1299. There were a few cosmetic issues that needed to be worked on and the car dealer was very unfront about those have been fixed. I’ve had this car for a month so far and the Engine is in great condition. I had really good consumer service, the guy who served my Dad and I was very calm which I appreciated. Will consider buying another car from them in the future.
Unbelievably disgusting salesmanship!!! Saw a mitsubishi Pajero for under $10,000 on line from this dealer, great runabout car or to launch the boat . My Husband and I live 600kms from Adelaide. A few days after first contacting Dave and asking numerous questions my husband is very mechanically minded, we finally decided to buy this vehicle. We organised a friend to go and look over the car on Tuesday 29/12/20 and if all was good he would hand over a bank cheque and bring the car to us. First problem they do not take bank cheques, then they did not want us to do an eft on Tuesday as Difficult Dave said it can take up to 24 hours for an eft to clear, this was proven wrong, I spoke to our bank and as both our account and Jax Wholesalers bank acoount have osko banking. After contacting Dave on Thursday 24/12/20 the deal was organised and our friends were to look at the car on 29th, and if all was to specs they would contact me and I would transfer the money and they could drive away. Low and behold on Saturday 26th Dave rang to say he had just sold the vehicle and our deal was finished with. Absolutely appauling service. Should have read the reviews before contacting this dodgy dealership
