With over 20 years of tyre industry experience, Jeff and Michelle Schmidt are the proud franchisees of the JAX Tyres Townsville store.

"I worked with JAX Tyres in their Queensland wholesale division for many years before heading to Pirelli Tyres Australia taking on the position of State Manager and National Truck Tyre Manager" Jeff says. "Michelle also has a retail background and has always liked wheels."

Since the purchase of the business, the couple has re-identified the showroom – installing floating timber floors and painting the premises.

“We’ve also got up-to-date womens’ magazines and Michelle on the front desk which makes our female customers feel welcome” Jeff says.

“Females are a very important part of our customer mix. It’s amazing how many women are in here purchasing tyres” Michelle says.

Took a couple hours to do,  but am very happy with the results.  Got new alloy wheels and tyres fitted and aligned for good price ($900 ish).  Great staff and quality service.   Thanks so so much!

I came to Jax Townsville for a basic oil and filter service, and have new brakes fitted to my car. Full synthetic oil was slightly extra but reasonably priced.
I rate them highly on my brakes. I purchased upgraded brake discs and pads foe the front and rear through another supplier for a great price. Jax Townsville were happy to install these and do a fluis flush for an insanely good price. Upgraded DBA T3 rotors and bendix ultimate pads purchaces elswhere amd fitted by jax was cheaper than a standard brake job by about $300. Other shoos wouldn't fit parts I supolied. Jax looked at them and said no worriws we can do that. My car has neen to another suspension place for more uogrades and to another mechanic, no dramas with the quality of work from Jax. Highly recommended.
