This is our go to restaurant when we travel through Otorohanga to Te Kuiti every couple of months, the excitement of knowing that on the way home to Auckland we will be having a lovely tasting meal at Jasmines. Nothing compares in Auckland other than Tusk on Dominion Rd. We eat at Jasmines so often that the main waiter knows exactly what we want to eat. Greeted with a welcoming smile and we travel there just for a nice meal out. Service is impeccable.

Stopped by on the way home from Ruapehu. There was only one person on the floor and it was quite busy so we had to wait for him to get off the phone before getting seated. We got the menus and had quite a bit of time to go through it since he was quite busy with phone orders and other tables. After ordering the food didn't take too long to come out. The prawn toast and satay chicken was quite nice. We had the Beef penang curry and it was good but it was a bit on the salty side for me. We also had the special duck which was alright. The Rard na chicken wasn't to my liking. Chicken was a bit dry and the gravy didn't have the right flavour for me. Overall it was a nice and filling dinner. Would have gotten dessert but was quite full and had to get back on the road.

Nowhere else in the world could a bacon and cheese burger not have any meat in it. Just bacon cheese and salad in a bun. The staff could not comprehend that this is not a burger! Apparently none of their 'burgers', with the exception of a 'hamburger' have a meat pattie.!!!
