Japaneasy is an exceptional language school located in the heart of Melbourne. Every class is met with friendly teachers and classmates in an engaging atmosphere. And there’s a touch of Japanese culture and art everywhere. I can't believe how much I've learned in just eight weeks! This is the place to be and I'm so excited to continue my learning journey here.

I've been studying at JAPANEASY for almost a year and I absolutely love it. I have studied in group classes in-person and online, and have had one-on-one lessons. I've also attended arts and cultural workshops at JAPANEASY that have been a lot of fun! The team of teachers and staff have created a welcoming, supportive, and inspiring environment that I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to study Japanese whether you're an absolute beginner, or have years of experience. JAPANEASY is not only great for language learning, it's also a wonderful place to learn more about Japan, share travel tips with other students, and get to know people with similar interests in Melbourne :

Japaneasy is a fantastic way to experience Japanese culture! My kids and I loved our Japanese calligraphy class – it was both fun and educational. We highly recommend Japaneasy to anyone interested in exploring Japanese language and culture in a hands-on way.

Japaneasy creates a great inclusive environment for learning a language. There is a real sense of community in the school that exists outside of the lesson you take. Plenty of friendly staff, great teachers and Japanese related activities happening consistently in the school outside of paid lessons. The lesson planning is detailed/tailored and encourages study and learning outside of the classroom. Having studied at other Japanese schools in the city I would highlight Japaneasy’s community culture, operational excellence and communication as its strengths beyond the lessons.

I've been learning Japanese here since March 2023 and I love it! The teachers are so friendly and it's been great to practise speaking with others after studying on my own and not getting very far for some time. I am very excited to be continuing next year!

I’m so happy I found Japaneasy. The teachers are all excellent native Japanese speakers with great English and teaching skills. They work hard to make sure you learn and understand, especially when you get to the trickier parts. I find everyone very professional, but also friendly and never make you feel like bakka gaiyajin. The structure of pre-homework also helps keep the classes interesting and focused. Thanks to one year of Japaneasy, I am able to have simple conversations in Japanese with my husband’s family and friends which is so life changing!

Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Lovely small classes that rely on you doing independent study to really achieve success.

Been going here for Japanese lessons for almost 2 years. They offer both in person and online lessons, group, private or semi-private. All the staff undergo training and are very professional, but also lovely to talk to about their culture. It's very far from my house but I'm willing to travel to Japaneasy because not only is ther service impeccable, the community and other students are passionate about the language and wonderful to study with.

Walking into this Japanese Language and Culture School is like walking into a mini-Japan!  Japaneasy is the best Japanese language and culture school in Melbourne. They cater for all types of students, from children to high school and university students, to adult learners.  Located in central Melbourne near lots of public transport options, it’s easy to get through from all over Melbourne.  And above all, it’s fun!  From the moment you walk through the door, you feel like you have entered Japan. This is because Japaneasy is not just a language school but also a school of Japanese culture.  The class sizes are small, giving each student plenty of attention.  You can also have private lessons completely tailored to your needs. Another good option is to  learn with another person which is a cost effective way of getting individualised support.  Take advantage of Japaneasy’s culture classes in a variety of topics - calligraphy, traditional Japanese arts and crafts and music.  I knew no Japanese when I started there and now feel comfortable travelling by myself in Japan, and communicating just in Japanese.  I can’t recommend this school enough.

Great Japanese school, the staff are so lovely and they have many options for classes if you're unsure of your level!
