1 star-location 2 star-service 3 star-premises Great environment and decoration, cleaned and with a lot of Japanese home stuff to buy from. Service OK as any other Japanese restaurant but in regards to the food quiet far to have that WOW factor of a proper Japanese food, country that I visited in 2019 , and even the decoration is pretty close to a local restaurant the dishes are overpriced, is well know that rice is the main ingredient of any Oriental plate but this restaurant dont try to keep the balance and the flavours of a fresh taste, not a place to visit twice.
We waited 30min to get seated when they had empty tables inside. Only when we eventually got seated we realised the empty tables were probably to maintain manageable volumes inside the restaurant. When we were at the front of the queue we saw a sign saying in essence that they were understaffed. It would've been appreciated if a sign about this was closer to the entrance into the restaurant. Food was nice, miso was pretty bland though. Dine here again? Unsure... other nice places in Top Ryde to dine at.
This is a run of the mill Japanese restaurant and shop located in level 2 of Top Ryde shopping centre. It's nice quiet place and the environment is decorated enough for you to feel you're away from home. They serve classic Japanese dishes except I didn't see ramen. I couldn't fault the quality of the dishes. I had the karage chicken curry. It's quite simple, the curry is quite nice when mixed in. Overall, it's a good restaurant for locals.
Great selection of Japanese bowls, cups, cutlery and accessories. The staff in the shop were friendly and amazing at gift wrapping. The restaurant side on the other hand was very much lacking. Waited over 30min for the food to come to me twice as the wrong order, and eventually my katsudon came but was so over cooked that the meat was hard to eat. Overall dining experience wasn’t great, so while I’ll come back to shop for the cute things in the store, I won’t be dining here again unfortunately.
The new vibrant atmosphere with natural Japan cultural will bring you at Japan.... Waiting food we order at least 25 minutes so long. Food taste wasn't to bad but not special, price quiet high too.Food: 3/5
Lovely service and staff are friendly. The food is good and I can only recommend what I tried which was the beef bento box. It was tasty and flavoursome. The perfect meal before heading to the cinema nearby. Thanks Japan City, it was a nice stay :
TERRIBLE QUALITY FOOD! I was playing phone alone while ate the eel, however, this was found while almost finish all! Ew! One female staff said problem was me as first time today someone complained! Most clients came with family or friends, of course they would not pay attention much like I did! She did not even apologize for the food! Feeling regret that I did not have receipt, I have only my bank payment details for proof. NEVER EVER COME BACK!!!
Very bad design where if you sit outside, other customers lining up in the queue have their butts rubbing right up against you. Not a pleasant dining experience, there was no personal space at all. Food was good the previous time I was here, but this time it was cold and not fresh at all. Won't be coming back.
I had a bento for lunch, I thought it was pretty expensive for what was offered. I liked the soba and the seaweed salad. The eel was also tasty but it would’ve been better if it was a bit saucier. Overall a good place for a casual lunch, it is on the more expensive side
The food was great but the wait for our order was a bit long. Probably because of the peak time when we arrived.Food: 5/5
