Dropped in for dinner with a friend of mine at the "Jai Ho Indian restaurant" Pacific Hwy, Turramurra. Nice little cosy place for up to 50+ patrons with delicious authentic Indian cuisine, good ambience and great service. One can either dine alone, with family or with group of friends. Jai Ho also offers Take away service... The menu is moderately priced for both Veg & Non Veg dishes with good options to choose from, and if you prefer somethingout of the menu you could request if the can if possible prepare it for you as well... There is plenty of free council parking with time limits during the day at the back of the restaurant.
I went to this restaurant for a friend's birthday celebrations. Reservations booked a few days before, but whoever took the booking neglected to write it down; hence, we weren't expected .The restaurant was fairly busy, so we had to wait until tables were arranged for us11 persons upstairs . This was away from the kitchen and dining action. As other reviewers have stated, upstairs of this restaurant is not really suited for a dining experience.. could do with a makeover. The young waiters and waitresses were polite and helpful, maybe abit inexperienced. The food was OK ; we shared various dishes, meat curries and Daal Tadka and Daal Makhani, rice and naan breads, and a delicious Masala Kulcha. I enjoyed the Daal dishes.But the crux of the matter was the WAITING TIME FOR OUR MAIN COURSES ,which was close to one hour. Then,at the end of the meal,by way of an apology, we were offered a free yoghurt dip...but this was meant to be served with one of the curries !!!!!. Previous reviewers have given this restaurant One Star,,I'm being generous with my Three Star rating...COME ON GUYS, UP YOUR GAME or lose Customers.
This is an excellent site. We will definitely return to your business because of the excellent service we received. The vibe here is relaxed and easygoing. Aside from the delicious food, the service is also quite kind and friendly. The happiness of their customers is the company's first goal, thus they provide plenty of attention to ensuring their customers are content. It was a fantastic experience, and they made us feel really welcome. The cost is reasonable thinking about the good quality. The staff was helpful and professional during my whole experience
We booked a table of 14. When we arrived we were taken up narrow stairs to a very drab, seemingly disused room with stacks of chairs in the corner. The downstairs tables had white table cloths, we had nothing covering the plastic tables. The food was good, but the service was not. The food arrived in dribs and drabs so that the food was getting cold by the time the rice and other dishes arrived. After that no one came upstairs to check on us. We had to go downstairs to ask for more rice, which then took a long time to arrive so we had to stop eating in the middle of the meal and wait. The curry dishes were then cold.
Excellent tasting and appetising looking food. What's going on here? The restaurant did a great job of following up with us after our visit. Simply eaten on its own, the naan bread was a treat. I plan on coming back soon to try the other dishes on the menu. Repeated my visit to this eatery from a week ago.
We recently attended this place for a dinner function and before that a lunch as well. Despite pre-ordering the dishes, upon arrival we had to wait for nearly 45 to 50 minutes for each course to come on both occasions. Upon enquiring downstairs they said they only had 1 or 2 staff members. People from our group did most of the food delivery upstairs due to the long wait times. The upstairs could do with some renovation as well in terms of decor and ambience. Food quality overall was good, and I must say the staff were courteous and polite but you loose interest if you've got to wait for over 3 hours all up... DEFINITELY WON'T BE VISITING ANYTIME SOON. Sorry guys we gave you a second chance and you'll didn't come through. Please do something about this or you'll loose customers.
The restaurant was fantastic. I am gluten free and dairy free and they were so accommodating. Their food was fresh, authentic and service was friendly and kind. Highly recommend it for a dining night. BYO. Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for gluten free and dairy free.
Unsure what happened to the food quality and quantity. Used to be reliable place for solid Indian in the area but was less than pleased with my take out order. Spent $70 for 2 curries, rice and naan. The Rogan josh was so watery and flavourless I didn’t even recognise it, didn’t even finish it. Same with butter chicken. Extremely small serving of meat in each curry which at $25/27 a serving I would expect more. Rice was dry and naan was also flavourless. Will think twice about ordering from here again. Not good value for money.
The food was delicious, the ambiance was pleasant, the service was good too. Our group size was a total of five people. We ordered Tandori Sampler, Tandori Fish Tikka, Mango chicken, dal, Malai Kofta, naan, and Shahi Gulab Jamun. The dinner was delicious, and it tasted like it had been cooked at home while not having a lot of extra fat or spices. Definitely coming back.
My favourite Indian restaurant, the food is always delicious. I usually get takeaway so haven’t experienced long wait times as previous reviews have suggested. Staff have always been very welcoming and professional. Highly recommend.
