We get there to dine in at 7:20pm, and the dumbfounded waitress with no personality says the kitchen closes in 30 minutes. Asking her can we quickly order and put an order through ! She looks at me with a shrug and said “I don’t know”. She doesn’t bother asking the chefs if we can order. I also asked when does the place close and she says 8:30pm and it is advertised to close at 9pm ? Well done to the waitress there to lose a long-time customer.
Tried Jade Princess takeaway for the first time tonight & were pleasantly surprised. High quality food. Tender, succulent meats and fresh selection of vegetables. Lovely favours in all dishes. Rice separated easily and was not clumpy like many other Chinese restaurants. This is going to be our regular go to place from now on! Update 10 months later: Sadly, the quality has begun to decline and the quality is now hit & miss so I've dropped a star off the review I initially gave. Spring rolls & prawn toast tend to be oily. Main meal meats are relatively bland because the sauces have not been absorbed by the meats. The meat is not as tender either so I suspect cheaper cuts are being used.
Very disappointed, sweet and sour chicken had dried up batter with no chicken inside and the combination was flavourless like it had been rinsed in water.
No standed veg in sweet and sour sauce Mongolian dish had no flavour Same with Singapore noodles, Although the meat was cooked well for both dishes.
Had takeaway from here many times. Today I decided to dine in with my son and happened to ask for a small side of beensprouts not on the menu……. Little did I realise or expect that they would cost me $18!!!!!! WTH? Obviously I should have asked first but come on, a side of beansprouts $18!!!!! After questioning, price was dropped to $16, still ridiculous and on principle I wont be back again or ordering take away.
This is a nice restaurant and the meal was good and served promptly. Worth a visit if you're passing through Beaconsfield. We didn't have to book a table, though admittedly it was a Sunday when we went there. So I'd book ahead just to be sure.Food: 5/5
My new favourite place to eat out. Food is absolutely beautiful.
Really nice rice.. The spicy calamari is fantastic as was the pork spare ribs
Jade Princess was recommended to me by friends so i thought i would try takeaway and cannot fault it. Was ready for me when i arrived, was still lovely and hot when i arrived home 15 min later. I ordered entree satay chicken skewers...yummmooo!!!! and prawn and veg and fried rice...really fresh and tasty, not sure how many prawns i had but there were plenty...thoroughly enjoyed it so thought i would leave a review for anyone wanting to try it out
