Sincerest thanks to both Murray and Graeme for helping my son Jayson get his licence. He was grateful for all the guidance and tips and for helping him to calm his nerves on the day. Would highly recommend using this driving school.
I had a lesson in Benalla and the instructor is exceptionally calm, knowledgeable and very easy to drive with. The hybrid car was great to drive and I got all the tips I was looking for and required. I would highly recommend if you are learning to drive as this is my best experience to date with driving instructors.
I had the most pleasant experience at this driving school. The instructor assigned to me,Murray was absolutely awesome.I was completely clueless when I started my classes,he patiently taught me and never got tired of repeating himself and reminding me on what to do.He paid great attention to detail and ensured I acquired all skills necessary to be a safe driver.I became an excellent confident driver thanks to him. Also, he was never late and if there were inevitable changes, he worked with me to schedule alternative times to suit my schedule . Most of all,I passed all my tests in one hit!!!
For me “PROFESSIONAL” dynamic, experienced and knowledgeable car driving instructor - MR. GREG. This man not only observed how much training i really required for my successful driving test but also made sure to provide me the RIGHT GUIDANCE . Mr GREG provided me a systematic professional training in which he helped me to correct my each mistake until I got full confidence in my driving skills such as controlling the car, observing surroundings, signalling , parking, speed management and positioning of the car etc. I just listened to his instructions and that LISTENING helped me to achieve SUCCESS. HE did his best with full of UNDERSTANDING. Highly recommended... I am thankful to GOD that I got Mr GREG as my car driving instructor. Just “BRILLIANT”
Was assigned Graeme as instructor and gained lots of useful tips and information over the course of a few lessons. Helped me pass first go. Highly recommend
Definitely wouldn’t recommend Greg although I’ve heard great things about the other instructor. I came in as an experienced learner ready to get my P’s. This whole experience made me feel unsafe and uncertain which had a lasting effect. For a long time afterwards I feared everyone’s driving and put off getting my P’s for another year. During my lessons he would constantly use his peddles and change the gears. I also got in trouble for looking twice at intersections. He would tell me, “don’t give way to air”. At one point we would have hit another car after a driver coming around the roundabout changed his mind. It was lucky my mum was in the back to yell because as stated before, I had no control over the peddles. At one point a driver also pulled out of a parking space in front of me which was fine as I was prepared to let him go out and had plenty of time to safely do so but Greg had other ideas. Instead of letting him go which would have been much safer, he sped up, leaned over me and grab the steering wheel, held his hand on the horn and dangerously swerved around the car into on coming traffic. Definitely not a driver I would like to be learning from or ever be in a car with again.
Amazing communication in organising the lesson and top driving instructor. Greg helped me get my licence and I couldn't have done it without his help. He was lovely and calm, my nerves were terrible but he managed to calm me down and give me the confidence I needed to pass. Money well spent. Thankyou Greg and Murray
Poor instruction, and attention to details/tips on driving. If you want someone to take you on a drive and show you the route with minimal teaching, go for it. If you want someone to actually teach you skills, tips and details on how to drive in town then look elsewhere.
Had one lesson with Greg which left me in tears by the end of it. In my manual lesson he would constantly use the peddles on his side and change gears for me, often ending up with our hands awkwardly touching which made me uncomfortable as the Learner I thought I would be the one driving...? apparently not. he would also just grab the steering wheel, in one instance there was a box on the road, so I slowly started going around it because who knows what's inside it I thought but he reached over very quickly and grabbed the wheel to run over it the road was empty too, except for some parked cars, but there was no danger he was avoiding, just didn't like that I was leaving the road to avoid this mystery box this of course left me a bit startled because who would expect that? and also because of his constant gear changing I would not realise what gear I was in, not because I didn't notice but because I didn't do it myself. which at one point caused me to stall. would recommend asking for Murray if possible.
