Great coffee and delicious food. Would definitely recommend the salmon avocado tower. It looked gorgeous when it came out. Did very well trying to balance it and keep it up straight
My review is solely for the cold drip coffee options. I was actually having lunch next door at Lemon Chilli's indian restaurant and was pleased to find that Jacob's Ladder cafe had some nice cold brew options. I didn't try the premixed milk based variants opting for the black cold drip instead. I was really satisfied with the taste of the coffee, they obviously know what they are doing and take care in brewing it. On the surface it's not a complicated process but ratios of water to coffee, type of coffee, grind, brew time etc often lead to a very bitter cold brew that is no better than an iced long black or worse. Jacob's Ladders cold drip is full of flavour that is nice to slowly sip.nnIt was a great compliment to the Indian food, even my Indian mate was impressed by how well they went together. That said, if they put that care into their cold drip I expect their food is made with the same attention.
We really enjoyed our visit here!nThe food was delicious, with so many options I want to try, the presentation was beautiful, and the staff added thoughtful touches.nnWe had the big brekky with speck really good, salmon rosti yum!!!, cheese bacon tomato croissant all their pastries are fantastic!, white hot chocolate, chai latte made with tea leaves and brewed in milk, babyccino, and a cake I forget the name of also delicious.nnI can't believe I didn't know this was here, and can't wait to go back!nThere aren't enough cafes that make chai the right way, and I'm so grateful to have found one that does!
Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, rapid service despite almost all tables being full, super tasty food all cooked perfectly, and an amazing hot chocolate. Would recommend to anyone after an awesome breakfast/lunch!
A quick treat for some Mocha - that supposedly is great at this place. We ordered to have it on sight. Not a greeting or a smile - staff should take a course in Tourism and Hospitality. The Mocha got delivered in takeaway cups - we mentioned that we did not order that - got told there are no cups not my problem.nStaffmember not happy that we insisted. Eventually we got it. No apology etc. Besides that the Mocha was tasty - a bit cold - most likely due to the fact of transferring it. Rather a bit overpriced $ 8.10 per serve in a Coffee shop in a small shopping centre of the beaten track.nOverall not a good impression for first visit, nearly all the staff didn't look happy - maybe due to the fact - close to knock off time!
