I have been very impressed with the school. My daughter has been very happy, the quality of teaching is excellent and the pastoral care is superb. The approach to bullying/ student conflict has been very professional. The approach to teaching is evidence based and best practice. I would highly recommend to any prospective parents.
i still suffer from extreme depression because of the bullying at this school. i suffered through locker vandalism, verbal abuse, rude comments and nicknames and most of all nobody there is a loyal friend. trust me. if you go to this school, leave. don’t send your kids here either. also we have to rank our friends on our laptops from i don’t feel comfortable to trusted ally, this ruined my mental health as the teachers told everyone who actually hated you and who didn’t
This school is honestly not that great, academically speaking. They don’t support a student much, from the talented students to students that need help. At other schools I’ve been to, subjects like math in class already had multiple different classes, like extension maths, and also beginner maths from the early year level of year 5, whereas this school only has it from year 9. Other aspects is also not great, including teachers. It's really bad overall and its the community is so much more toxic than some of the other schools I’ve been in. And they also have religious education classes, which they force-teach you about Christianity and god, irrespective of your religion. It’s such a useless waste of time, and the teachers don’t let you do anything else in the class. I know they mainly do it because they are an Anglican school, but this class is bullshit. Teachers don't care about you and the only thing the school cares about is uniform, facilities and looking like a good school to the public. Too much bullying here; verbal and physical. DO NOT GO HERE. EVEN A PUBLIC SCHOOL WOULD BE BETTER.
As a former student, I urge you, do not go to this school. They have horrible management, theres many horrible teachers theres a teacher that literally teaches you NOTHING, I need to lend my friends who are in her class study materials that the teacher should have given them , a lot of bullying occurs at this school disturbing images in others lockers, speaking behind backs, etc, physical violence can't be ruled out too and many students have depression. The school deals with all of these HORRIBLY one student who did SH got suspended. SUSPENDED. They need mental support, not a mark on their record. They did nothing wrong but break under the horrible stress this school puts students under. I also suffer alot from my experience at this school, I used to be a really optimistic, cheerful person prior to coming to this school. After? Well, I don't really want to go into detail about it. But I'm getting better, and thats mostly thanks to the fact Im in a better environment now. Whoevers reading this, I want you to know, this school is toxic and uncaring. If your a parent, send your kids to a different school. If your a student, dont go to this school. If youre a student at this school, leave. If you're a teacher/ staff member at this school, improve. Thanks.
Good school most of the teachers r nice, really nice ppl in my grade, no bullying, only occasionally picking on ppl if they’re annoying like that one girl who never washes her hands. Really good sports and stuff like gsv, some really fun teachers that u can chat with. Overall pretty nice
