Been coming here for coffee since I moved to Oakleigh. Unlike most places they clean their machine properly and regularly. They also don't burn the beans or overheat the milk. They do have new staff from time to time which means thing stake a bit longer than otherwise. That being said, I'd rather wait a couple extra minutes for a coffee that tastes great.
Located in corner. Parking can be a bit of a hassle. The place is nice with nice paintings. The staff members are helpful and the food selection is good. The food is severed in a timely order. The cofee is good and I would recommend the cofee. A table can be booked online which is convenient of busy weekends. I was very satisfied with the place and will visit again.
Food itself isn't bad, but nothing special. Mostly disappointed by the prices it should be a lot better. $23 for the gnocchi that isn't fresh just feels a bit much. Positive is the good customer service
Great food, great service a warm atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place is your after some authentic italian food.
Waited over 50 minutes for 2 pasta dishes. While other customers who arrived after us already receieved their food I also ordered the Gnocchi, which was cold on the inside, hot on the outside and served on a too hot to touch plate. It was microwaved and i didn't pay $27 for a microwaved meal that took almost an hour to serve
I had an green omelet with cappuccino and felt friendly staff and a comfortable interior.
Gorgeous little restaurant with great atmosphere, the food here was some of the best Italian I’ve ever had in Melbourne. Authentic Italian cuisine with lovely staff, who are very accommodating of dietary needs. Highly recommend their roast vegetable gnocchi for any vegetarians out there!
I’m disappointed to write this review. I understand the last two years have taken their toll on many small businesses, but this restaurant needs to touch up its act. The only thing I can recommend is the wine list. The service and the food were almost non existent. When we arrived, there were four people in the restaurant. We made eight. Not too stressful surely? However, the waitress was obviously very new. She knew little about the wine or menu. But why bother when the owners don’t either? Considering the way she was treated, I’d be surprised if she returned. Eight people obviously was too much for him. Entree:
Our Mussel entree consisted of ten mussel shells and nine mussels. Rookie error. The meatballs, although apparently tasty, had been microwaved and reheated. The bruschetta was dry toast with thin slices of tasteless, pale tomatoes, large blobs of mozzarella and a few drops of balsamic. No basil. No red onion. No taste. Mains: I’ve never had Spaghetti marinara like this before. The homemade thin spaghetti was doused in a thin tomato sauce, but sadly, collected in a congealed pile in the bottom of my bowl. This was topped with one prawn, one scallop, two dry mussels, small chunks of calamari and two lumps of fish that were full of cartilage! The prawn was delicious but I don’t appreciate chomping on large pieces of fish bone. Gnocchi and carbonara were satisfactoty. Dessert. We finished with the special” - Espresso martini ripple cake”. Surely a dessert redemption! No. It really was a small section of Chocolate ripple cake, a la 1980. Four chocolate ripple biscuits sandwiched with cream with a slight hint of coffee. All smothered in more cream with shaved chocolate and a malteser on top, all for $14! Sorry, but I was expecting more… We had been looking forward to this dinner, but unfortunately we were greatly disappointed and underwhelmed. If the chef had bothered to ask if we enjoyed our meals when service finished we would have told him, however he was more interested in whatever was on his mobile and barely grunted as we thanked him and left.
Faulty Towers atmosphere, but sadly, not a Polly in sight to rescue the situation. Life is too short for bad food.
Always enjoy. Shared and had breakfast with a number of people and they always comment positively to me on my choice.
It was upsetting to hear the Manager yelling at his employee because water had been spilt on the floor. He embarrassed the young man, made his 4 customers feel very uncomfortable and in a time when employees are scarce was an idiots way to deal with the situation.Food: 1/5
