Story

Over 30 years ago Gaetano opened his very first restaurant, ‘Italia Pizza’, which would feed his passion for the hospitality industry.
Over the years there have been numerous other restaurants however what has been consistent and steadily growing is his desire to develop and maintain lifelong friendships, produce mouthwatering cuisine and create a family friendly environment for people to come and enjoy.
Now 30 years on he is teaming up with his son-in-law David to open ‘Itahlia Restaurant’. The name reflects the evolution of Gaetano’s career but more than that, it is a tribute to family and his first granddaughter and David’s daughter TAHLIA.

You probably need a microscope to find cheese grates on their traditional vegetarian pizza! Pictures attached. We ordered a large one and I am still hungry. Cheese is rationally cheap in this country specially when bought in bulk; I don’t know how much it would really decrease the profit to add a standard layer of cheese on a large pizza and pizza is about cheese, isn’t it. This is the first vegetarian pizza I have ever had in my whole life that I did not feel any cheese, although they mentioned Mozzarella on the ingredient list in the menu. Probably it was only rubbed to the cheese plastic!  You might have gained-say 30 cents but lost a costumer. Never try again ever.

Worst pizza I have ever had not to mention Menulog driver got lost so cold food called restaurant extremely rude service my address is 5 minute drive but my car was out for repair so hence why I had my food delivered no cheese on it at all toppings fell right of

I was there and despite being very busy was given a seat within 3 minutes. Staff worked well as a team serving, taking orders, cooking. My entre chicken & mushroom risotto was lovely and a generous serving. Thank you Itahlia.  It was good to return here again and be in a buzzing restaurant. Looking forward to the Seniors Parma next time.

Nice food. Kids like it here. I do like a pizza with the cheese on the bottom, hard to find these days. Good variety on menu and food is usually well cooked.

Calamari was ok. Chips very good. Shocked the vegetarian pizza was atrocious, good pizza base though. The pasta carbonara had no flavour, it almost tasted watery. People were eating in here - our first time, good portions but of no use to us as pasta flavourless & pizza rather flavourless too - cut the pumpkin thinner on pizza is my advice - it was the only ingredient that had flavour. I'll be back to try a meat pizza & review this rating.  Floor staff were terrific.

Itahlia is in the Sunbury Cinema Complex, 25-47 Horne Street, Sunbury. There's plenty of parking around as its also in a the Sunbury mall shopping precinct.  I came here for lunch in Feb this year, before going to watch 'Jojo Rabbit' Figs were in season so I got the delicious Fig, rocket and prosciutto pizza I like my savoury/sweet combos & Salt & Pepper Calamari which was tender and fresh.  It was so good I complimented and chatted to the chef on my way out and gave a review on another platform before I knew you could do so on google maps

We always eat here before going to the movies.  Great food! Staff need to be more attentive and engaged though, we found them abit slow last nite.Food: 4/5

Meal prices are rather expensive, but the food is good.  I ordered the fish of the day, which ended up being Blue grenadier and proved to be rather nice.  When you enter the venue you are presented with a sign "Please wait to be seated", being on my own I expected to be placed away from the noisy groups, but I was placed in the middle of two noisy groups making up a strip of tables, which felt rather clattered.  I think they could have placed me separate and therefor keeping the other groups separate.  Water is served prior to the meal, but I had to ask for it, and the staff are friendly. The gentleman behind the pizza bar was very welcoming, and this venue is nicely placed to have a meal before or after a movie at the cinema.

Often would order pizza from here and they were decent. Recently ordered again and I don't know if they have switched to a cheaper sauce but it was rank. Completely inedible, such a waste. Never again

Hubby said one of the best pizzas he has had. I ordered steak, it was a bit under but the vegies on the side was well seasoned and I still enjoyed it. Service was quick and staff are friendly. I think we will be back and I might just try the pasta I saw the other diners were having.
