Went for lunch the other day and Ordered the 300g jacks creek prime grain fed crumb steak with chips, veggies, gravy and a creamy Diane sauce.. very delicious If you’re looking for a great feed, this is the place!! Awesome service from both bar n kitchen staff especially on a very busy day definitely wasn’t disappointed

Old style pub in the main street of Charters Towers. Friendly staff. Mediocre range of beers on tap. Food was good pub fare but it almost an hour to get it ... a little annoying when we had simply ordered the lunch special sandwiches/burgers.
This is our first time in Charters Towers, we were recommended this place for dinner we had chicken Kiev, chips and salad, it looked nice when it arrived at the table, but the chips were cold and the Kiev was way cooked to much the outside was hard and tuff, we also had cheesey bread which was also horrible. I am sorry but overall the meal was horrible.
Absolutely great pub. Meals were fantastic and very big and filling. Great service and will recommend to all to visit here
Beautiful Bar to relax in, outside beer garden with thick stained tables to watch people games of pool. The food is out standing everytime and is very great in value. Live bands sometimes is fun
Great service. History abound, makes interesting conversations.
Heritage pub. Pub grub is the right word here. Meals were mediocre. I had dry lamb chops with salad, the salad had some kind of dead overcooked pasta lumps on top. You could find a Women’s weekly Irish cookbook if there is one and follow a basic recipe to make something better than that. Maybe it’s an Irish thing. Went to get some kind of sauce to put on the chops. While waiting outside the kitchen, a child walked out of the kitchen and put their bare arm into the ice inside the ice machine that was used for all the drinks for the pub. I mentioned it simply to a staff member walking by, and then the manager came up to me and was aggressive and rude, as though somehow I was being nasty to the poor child!
Excellent food with large serve. Friendly staff. Country pub feel to the place. Heritage listed pub. Best pub in Charters Towers and worth a look if you're passing through.
Tasty awesome meals, friendly good service, just a good chilled vibe to the place.
