Delicious Food, we went there after Greytown Mid-Winter Christmas Festival. Food quality and flavors were mind blowing. We will be visiting again definitely
We had some guests stating over for the weekend and decided we would like an Indian take away meal for dinner. I have had take aways from the Indian Taj before and really enjoyed it so thought I would go back there again. I looked up the online menu and placed my order which would be ready in 30 minutes. When I picked up the order it wasn't what I had ordered. After going over this with the gentleman not sure who he was he pointed out I had used the wrong out of date menu when ordering. As our guests had special dietary needs I couldn't take what had prepared. However this lovely gentleman said he would remake the order to what I had selected and not charge me for what was my mistake. What a magnificent gesture and exceptional customer service. When I went to pick up my order I offered a tip as some compensation but he would not accept it. You guys are amazing and the meal was up to its usual tasty high standard and enjoyed by all our guests. I will be gong back to Indian Taj again, with the correct menu this time. I would highly recommend the Indian Taj to anyone looking for a great Indian meal.

Indian Taj is living upto its name- delicious, mouth watering food, a pleasant environment and great customer service from the wait staff and the Manager- The manager goes above and beyond to cater for your specific needs, good conversationalist too To the guys in the kitchen- the food was absolutely amazing and we will definitely be coming for more. Absolutely stunned by the bad attitude and behaviour towards the customers. After a long drive we stopped here to have a cup of tea. The cashier immediately showed his displeasure as we ordered only tea. The tea was horrible to say the least with tea bags dipped in hot water then milk mixed. My friend was tired hence was sitting in a 6 seater table but the cashier asked him to move to 2 seater even though the restaurant was completely empty. The price on the menu was 7$ each cup that 7$ itself is expensive for tea but they charged us 8$ saying that 7$ is only takeaway. No wonder why the restaurant was completely empty. Not again to this place.
Absolutely excellent curry! Flavor profile was sublime, onion baji and pakora were excellent, lamb saag and matter paneer were one of the best I've had in New Zealand, breads were also fluffy and crispy. Seriously one of my all time top ten curries. Highly recommended!
This is hands-down my favorite restaurant of all time, the greatest butter chicken you will ever devour, thank you to syed and staff for being very welcoming and professional at your job, I look forward to trying out the new Turkish shop being opened next door too :

I love that this has some of the only Indo-Chinese food around. They do a wonderful job of making it and it's absolutely delicious. For me, their other curries are a bit hit and miss. Most are delicious, but I've had better biryani's and found the Dahl Makhani too sweet for my taste. They are a little pricier than the other Indian restaurants around, so I mainly recommend them for the Indo-Chinese food, as that's the main reason I keep ordering from them.
