India Gate, situated in the heart of Belgrave, is the Dandenongs' first stop for authentic India cuisine. Specialising in northern Indian food, we are open 7 nights a week from 5pm to 10pm weeknights and 5pm to 10:30pm on weekends. Fully licensed and with an al fresco dining area and relaxed friendly atmosphere, open on public holidays, India Gate is the perfect choice for a romantic dinner for two or casual dinner with friends.

Do not go to this restaurant. I ordered take away and was told it would take 40 minutes, which is pretty long. I turned up at the time, and had to wait a further 30 minutes and when it finally arrived some of the food was almost cold, so we didn’t accept the food. The staff were quite rude too. The bad service wasn’t limited to take away either: We talked to people dining at multiple tables who said they been waiting for their food over 2 hours.

Had an awesome tika masala full of flavour and even amount of everything. Gentleman that served me was very inviting and cheerful.

Been to saffron cottage many of times, absolutely love the food. But tonight the butter chicken didn't taste very nice, we ended up throwing it out. Very disappointed. Hope this is just a once off.

Found steel wool fragments in my food, plus a nice amount of hair. Possibly the worst Indian I have had. Should not be aloud to stay open.
