The cinema theater is just wow. It is the best theater I have visited so far. It is neat and huge.. seatings are great in term of space and overall it is neat. Extraordinary experience! I fully recommend this place.
I have been to IMAX Melbourne a handful of times, but leaving my review based on my experience last night. I went to the Avatar release and the staff where absolutely amazing! Everyone was so cheerful and it just makes the experience so much better. The cinema is great! Can’t go wrong with 3D IMAX. But a standout is how accommodating they are. I was a bit of a pain and ordered a coffee at 1:20am after the movie and not a single complaint. Helped keep me awake and was the cherry on top of a great night!
Enjoyed the IMAX experience in Premium. Found the seats at the back too close to those in front though, so couldn't make much use of the leg rest, which was a shame. The width of the seat was also a bit tight for a premium experience.
Great viewing experience while Sydney is closed. Staff seemed a little worn down but that doesn’t surprise me as it was the opening weekend of Avatar. Food was average but paying for the premium seats was worth it especially for 3 hours.
Great cinema going experience Saw the IMAX re-release of jaws staff were friendly and helped me find where to go as I have only been once or twice before. Venue was clean and the chairs were comfy. Great experience 9/10
Recently i have visited for Avatar 2 and loved the experience and the imax presentation. I have been to other movies too but not all of them are imax presentation. Its worth watching if its imax presentation only.
Seats are comfy and have a surprisingly spacious feeling for a cinema. Screen and sound is awesome, obviously. Toilets were clean. Candy bar staff were nice. Easy to get in and out of the foyer. Parking is cheap if you pre-book.
Great cinema with great movies but the 3D glasses are one unique size so not easy for little ones. It's also very cold inside. And it seems very ridiculous, and not aligned with the sustainability values of the cinema to have air-conditioning so high... It was also too loud for kids. Otherwise amazing time and Serengeti documentary enjoyed by everyone from 3 years old.
I went to go see Avatar: Way of Water, at the IMAX. Unfortunately, there was a case of over-booking going on, and another patron had the exact same seat number as us. Luckily, one of the staff members, Russel, was able to help us find vacant seats that were better than the ones we booked. For my first IMAX experience, I promised myself I wouldn’t get my hopes up. I was expecting an average cinema experience, with just a slightly larger screen. My expectations for the comfort of the seats, audio, and viewing experience were blasted to Pandora. I loved my time at the IMAX, but just be careful that overbookings may occur when it’s a busy night.
Went to the new Avatar: A way of waters movie here. This cinema is terrible. The experience is not good. The sound is much too loud and it ruins your ears. My Apple Watch even indicated that the noise is too much. The image was cropped, too. The format was 4:3 just why? - I reckon we missed out on literally half the movie! The 3D experience was also not nice - there is much more advanced technology out there nowadays. The seats are old and I felt there is not much space for your feet - even though I am not a tall person myself. I highly recommend to spare your money and go somewhere else. :
