Good place to catch sunrise or sunset, only a short walk through the sand from the resort. On a tour you will learn about the culture and stories but this is a good free alternative.

The main lookout in the resort
The most beautiful place in the world
Good place to go if you have nothing else on. If you’re on any other “real” activity or tour then you’re not missing anything.
It is a short trail 10 min walk to the lookout point from Desert Gardens Hotel. There is resort free shuttle service that drops to the trail to the lookout point in case you are staying in different hotel in the resort. This is the best lookout point in the Ayers Rock Resort.

Great place to watch the sunset at Uluru. Walk up the path slightly to get a good spot away from the crowds of tourists having their sunset drinks.
