Il Nido Trattoria is a proudly run, family owned Italian restaurant, located in Wollongong's northern suburbs, in the heart of Balgownie Village.
Diana, Giulio and family have been sharing their "nest" with the Illawarra for over 30 years. In Balgownie, for over 10 years, the team at Il Nido have been providing great authentic Italian meals, a friendly atmosphere and classic service with a smile.

Il Nido is a licensed venue. We offer a range of imported Italian beer, wine & cocktails. We also offer boutique Australian beers and specially selected Australian wines.

Traditional Italian restaurant in the heart of Balgownie. Great atmosphere and the food is of high quality, value and the service is excellent.
Absolutely loved the experience here. The cheesy wheel is a must try. And if you think the food is good, the service is even better. Sofie was extremely helpful with the recommendations and made it a memorable experience with her incredible energy.
