Story

Established in 1996, iguana is located in the heart of Hamilton's cafe and restaurant mecca at the south end of Victoria street. The restaurant features warm timber floors and early century tin ceilings and these are complemented by our candle lit atmosphere and cosy garden bar.

Our open kitchen gives the restaurant a casual, yet upmarket feel, where you can relax and see our chef's prepare your meals using the freshest ingredients. Our food is complimented by a list of wines and our iguana bar has a lot to offer in the way of cocktails, spirits and specialty beers.

Our focus on service and our commitment to customers is evidence of our dedication towards excelling in a competitive market place. At iguana we invest our time in our team so that they in turn provide the highest level of service to you - our valued customer.

Great atmosphere with happy and helpful staff. Family friendly as there were several families having a great time. Food was outstanding and the service was good. The restaurant was busy, with a private function in the rear area. Highly recommend.

Stopped in at Iguana with a mate because it looked pretty relaxed. Looked through the menu, and I’ll definitely be back to try everything else. Had a bit of a wait for the first drinks to arrive, but nothing to grizzle about. From that point everything went perfectly. I had the calamari entree and eye fillet main which was nothing short of sensational - if they ever decided to do a vegetarian version of that dish, it’d still be spectacular in its own right (cheers Jimmy). The staff were awesome, and it felt like another home. High 5’s all round.

First time trying it since the new owners and it was incredible. Can't fault a thing! While the food used to be good, it's absolutely amazing now and the service was perfect. 10/10 would recommend

아 I still don't understand why this restaurant checked foreigner's airport to enter and order some foods. Though I and my friends had other way to prove that we are not minor, they refused us. So we had to go back to home and bring airport to order meal. It was frustrated. But Malaysian restaurant which located near Iguana didn't check airport. And that restaurant is also operated by Kiwi. It's my curiosity still not solved. 여기 외국인 여권검사합니다..안가져가면 나가라함ㅋㅋ가격 젤비싼 스테이크(Rib eye)랑 두번째로 비싼스테이크랑 맛에 별 차이없음. 현지 유명 레스토랑이기는 합니다.

Ayy thanks it's great you should try some. Friendly service and tasty treats. Simple yet understated meals. Can't recommend this. Enough.
