I’ve heard that lggys is best bakery in sydney. That’s why i visited here. I went to here weekdays about 1pm, no croissant but a lot of sourdough and roaf bread. Good thing is i can buy 1/4 sourdough. This sourdough is most sour taste bread i ever had. Its not totally not my type but bread yummy
Handsdown the best sourdough I have found in Sydney. It’s the white sourdough that I particularly love here. Fantastic crumb, really chewy with a nice thick crust and toasts absolutely beautifully. The darker the crust is the more flavour it has. One other thing I love is that the bread here is warm in the mornings, with fresh bread coming out of the oven still. It’s pretty rare these days, as most bakeries seem to bake the night before.
Definitely the best sour dough bread in Sydney . The fruit loaf is an absolute delight. They sell full or half loaves. If in doubt, try everything, you won't be disappointed
As a Frenchman I am very peculiar about my bread doesn't mean I know it all but I am super picky! and I've looked around Sydney for the best bakery many "French" bakeries have been a disappointment. Iggy is not and wins it hands down with an amazing pain au chocolat chocolate croissant but also some great breads the sourdough is to die for!. I strongly recommend, service is very good and fast.
Ooh boy the bread is good! But 15$ for HALF, yes HALF loaf of bread I find it excessive! Also they should put prices on the shelves at least you know, and make your choice accordingly!
Iggy’s Bread is a very popular bread shop in the beautiful seaside suburb of Bronte. They make all of the products they sell in-house. Make sure to go early though because they sell out very very quickly. The first time I went was at 11.00am and they literally only had a few rolls left. And be prepared to wait in a very long line outside the shop and down the street. Worth the wait though.
Bread is pretty decent, solid sourdough flavour and good outer crunch. I liked the rustic appearance. Sad that they only do croissants on Friday and weekends... I wish they could make them every day! still the best in sydney ofc!
This place really need to invest in a marketing and a signage for the shop as I came in last week and I couldn’t find the place cause there’s no signage anywhere that says the name of this place which makes it so difficult for the customer to find it. However, as I was walking by, nothing attract me to come in and try it, but I’ve been wanting to try Iggy as I heard it’s good. Well I guess there wasn’t much options of pastries more like bread and sourdoughs the traditional options not much croissants flavours. I got the chance to try. The pastry is the day. I’ve got the croissant and it’s just like any other croissant. There’s no taste of sourdough at all. I understand there is no yeast in it, but that doesn’t make it a sourdough croissant. Wasn’t crunchy or flaky was soft looked pretty tho Follow theSyrianfoodie on IG for more honest food reviews
I’ve been hearing about this place for a while now, and not sure why I’ve never been until now. It’s now my new favourite bakery. You name it, they have it and it’s amazing. The pull apart bread st the counter, the chocolate croissants, plain croissants, spelt loaf. It’s incredible! Get in early though, it’s popular and there’s decent lines.
I now understand why everyone is queuing up for their bread - it’s delicious! I’ve been waiting in the line once to get a freshly baked health loaf which is absolutely divine and then I decided to queue up in the other line to buy some of their pastries as well. Both the plain and the almond croissant were bloody delicious and worth the wait! Will definitely come back.
