Have always had good service from these guys until today. I bought raw chicken this afternoon and gagged when I opened it to cook. Both sealed packages smelled bad when I opened them despite having a best before date of tomorrow. I assume the fridge in the store struggled with the heat yesterday so went back hoping for a refund. Manager said it smelled fine to him. He asked an employee to smell it to see if it smells bad. Employee said yes a little bit bad. Manager said it smells fine to him. I told him he could eat it if he wanted as it was still cold from my fridge and I never touched it with my hands, but i didn't want to risk getting sick. He told me I was being rude and wouldn't refund my $23 because the chicken smells fine. Opportunity to keep a customer happy lost forever. Recommend owner checks temp of meat products in open fridge. :/
Try to buy a drink but it was much higher price in the shop than what it showed in the catalogue. I just wanted one drink then he said two for $5 when it clearly shows $2.50 ea. I just walked away saying I don't really need it.
This was from last month and forgot to leave a review. They didn’t remove the expired milk off the shelf fridge and I misread the date as 18 March but turns out it expired on the day of purchase. No one at the counter or the owner checked to stop my purchase. I even called multiple times back to ask for a swap but no one answered. Waste of $6
Great to have a place that is open when you need it, they also have a good range of items and fresh produce is actually fresh. Hard working new owner is always good to talk to when not busy. Retail is hard and people can be difficult, bad reviewers are normally bad customers. Love this place and knowing that it is always open when others aren't!
Used to be owned by a beautiful Chinese family but has changed owners. The new store owner is a very small and aggressive man. I saw him berating a woman, who appeared to be an employee I'm not sure, it was to a degree that I wanted to say something but he was unhinged! Thank God I saw her leaving safely. There were customers everywhere but just so unprofessional and abusive. I could never step back into this store and suggest anyone nearby to avoid at all cost!!
