Bought this YESTERDAY!!! It had this sticker underneath another label that said the expiry was September 2023. After looking at reviews this type of thing has been happening for years. Now I see why there is never anybody in this IGA. I will not be returning and all other food I purchased is going in the bin. Whoever owns this store should feel ashamed of such disgusting disregard for health and safety.nOh and while I was there a woman had her bag searched. There were only maybe 3 customers in the whole store and she said she'd been going there for years. Avoid.
I use this IGA a lot because it is very close to where I live. I have always enjoyed going there, although it is overpriced and some of the food is dubious in terms of being after use by dates. But last night I was accosted in an incredibly rude fashion by a security guard and ordered to have my bags searched. FFS. I'd just spent close to $80. I refused and he got abusive.nnI will not go back until there are new owners. These new owners are awful. The place has certainly gone downhill after they bought it.
Expensive. Overpriced. Rude staff who put wrong prices on items then blame the customer. I have returned to Coles and Woolworths.
A little over priced, but fine if you don’t have time to go elsewhere. That doesn’t bother me and I expect it from IGA. What does bother me, is how rude the older owners/managers are. The younger staff who work there are great, but the older staff are horrible. They can serve me and not even make eye contact, let alone say hello. Really terrible customer service. I was hoping with the new owner coming in, things would improve, but he is just as bad as the old ones.
I don't understand other low star reviews here, this little store has hidden gems of unusual food , along with general produce. I happily shop here instead of the bigger stores and , I find I spend less ! There is a small liquor section attached and it also supplies terrific wine and beers. There isn't any self serve , you get a staff member at the checkout
