It's very convenient for me since it's about 4-5 minutes walking distance from my place. What I love getting the most from IGA are their avocados and grapes. Oh, and their 5pack Mi Goreng is cheaper than Woolies.
Is this the worst IGA in Brisbane? It is hard to imagine anyone could provide a worse customer service experience. The short scruffy guy at the checkout hates his life, hates his job and hates the customers. He doesn't even try to hide his contempt for everyone who walks through the door. He's perpetually having a bad day and will do everything possible to ruin yours as well. You can try to be as pleasant as you like. You'll be lucky to get a grunt in reply. I won't go into the IGA if I see he's there, it's just too off-putting.
Just bought lunch here today. REALLY disappointed with the quality of the meal. Panini was as hard as a rock on top half. Contents weren't much better. Quality was definitely lacking !!!
Hey nice coffee $2.00 make it yourself, was nice coffee, advertised special on 400g Moccona wasnt available as listed in Catalogue, maybe City IGS's are not included
Always clean, well stocked, and such good old fashioned friendly service.
I popped in to buy some milk. There was a good variety of other products here also. The store was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was an easy walk to get here, from where I was staying in Fortitude Valley. I truly recommend using this supermarket, you won't be disappointed.
I like this store because they have a lot of imported products and it is always clean.
Good variety of product at sometimes less than the bigger companies like Woolworths and Coles pays to shop around Also a good choice of quick meals and lunches wheelchair and stroller friendly
Worst IGA i’ve ever experienced. I handed in my resume there around the end of august looking for a job. I got a phone call a few days later asking if I could go in for a 2 hour trial. I accepted and went, and when I got there, I was handed the grottiest IGA shirt you could imagine. It reeked of BO and had holes and stains. After my trial, I was told by the store manager I Believe that he had other people coming in for a trial, and that he would let me know if I got the job or not. So I waited about a week and realised I still had not heard from them, so I sent them an email. They replied with, “come in for a 2 hour trial”, obviously completely forgetting me and the 2 hour trial I completed. After replying to them advising them I had already completed a 2 hour trial, they said they had forgot. So, I called again another 3 times, and was told by a lady that she would write down my name and get the manager to be in touch with me. It’s been over 2 months and have never heard back from them. Very unhelpful and wasted my time. Do not recommend this store at all.
Staff could care less about us. Salad bowl half full for $14...no dressing allowed. Won't go there again.
