The school's new undergraduate course is full of racial discrimination. They exclude all international students and only send in some "fashionable" students who have a few follower on social media. They charge high material fees for each project. The most important thing is the tutors in this academy are RUDE They have no respect for students' ideas, They teach their students their traditional boring ideas and order them to obey them. And one of their teachers, Martin, doesn't teach you anything! I want every international students attention: If you want to learn the real design, you want to be a fashion designer Don’t Come!! If you want to be a pattern maker, will this is a right place. But you have to Make Sure you can handle discrimination and abuse from your tutors with No Reason
Just like every other private school in Paris this school has absolutely no sense of moral responsibility. I contacted them to enroll in one of their full time courses with the possibility to br helped by the Career section of the school. The lady who received me, asked me to apply for their incubator programme through their website as it is a full time course and will give me access to the "Careers" section of the school where I will be helped with job prospects. So I sent my application on their website and after I applied and got selected, the management informed me that I was misinformed by the lady and that the incubator programme is managed by an external company and not by the school itself. So now I am enrolled in a programme with some unknown organisation with no links to IFM. I will be suing the school for fraud and violation of customer rights.
Be aware of the school's new business concept to get money from candidacies. They will make refusals the very next day of an "interview" with no reason even though you comply to all of their requirements. Once you ask the reason for refusing your candidacy, you can expect NO ANSWER to any of your emails. That is very surprising that you don't even deserve an explanation for the 100 EUR you pay for sending in your candidacy. so yes, don't go to this business school because it is more business than a school. If I may, I would really revise what values does your staff have. I have contacted this school several times different people and the employees of this school never reply and accompany your interest in the school. It is quite shocking to IGNORE mails even after having payed 100 EUR for the candidacy. I have sent many mails previously to Mme Laurence Jacquet asking if I can have more information on my questions about the program, if we can have a call or meeting so I can obtain information, at first she responded that we can schedule a call and then NO RESPONSE EVER. After my candidacy as I said, they ignored all of my mails about asking to give me a more precise feedback than "sorry we don't accept you" despite the fact that my profile was precisely fitting to all criteria it exceeded the requested level of experience and education and knowledge of the fashion industry. So the main goal of this school is filling the pockets not educating and accompanying their students. All in all - STAY AWAY and get a better quality education with better attitude from the staff in another place
Absolute rubbish. I wish I could get my tuition fee and time spent there back. Horrible organization and administration, arrogant teachers. especially liberal art courses!!! Some teachers have less knowledge than I do.. I do not understand why they are entitled to sit around the table and teach us For people who actually want to study... DO NOT COME!!!
I wish I could give a NEGATIVE five stars to this school. But in short. JUST DON’T. It is so bad that caused me a major depression and I had to drop out. After half a year I’m finally get back on my feet and I need to write it up and have a closure so more students can have a perspective of how it is at ifm, and benefit from my experience and make the right decision in pursuing their master degree. 1. The school advertised to be an English speaking school, but after it started, we realized it’s not. The core class teachers usually don’t speak good English, there are a couple don’t even speak/understand at all. So you kinda have to rely on your French speaking classmates to translate for you. It’s very frustrating because you won’t get the direct information and it wastes a lot of your one-on-one time with the teacher. 2. The school expects too much from students but they don’t offer the same amount of efforts on their end. The handouts they give out to students are full of grammar/spelling mistakes. It makes it very confusing to understand for project briefs, so it leads to a lot of misunderstanding and confusions. 3. The school is very disorganized with its schedule, it keeps changing and the times are often conflicted, so you don’t catch a breath at all the entire time you are there. It’s both mentally and physically draining. By draining I meant you normally don’t have a 3 hour sleep during the night. If you can put up with that then go ahead. 4. The school is quite inconsiderate, and manipulated me during the weakest/mentally unstable time. I dropped out in November and they made me signed/promised that even though I only attended the school for 2 months, I still need to pay for the full amount tuition which is for two years. And the director even said “you took up a spot, if it’s not you someone else could have finished it and got a degree. “ it’s very untrue and inconsiderate, because it’s not because of me that someone didn’t make it, it’s because they are not on the same level. I didn't force them to admit me, it’s their decision. And I certainly shouldn’t pay for the education/diploma that I didn’t get, but I did pay the most of it anyways. 5. You kinda have to figure out everything by yourself, especially if you switched majors. Don’t expect them to give you any general informations and knowledges in terms of the area you study, they just expect you to know and do you research on your own. Which is totally fine if we have enough time, but we don’t. So basically you don’t really learn from the school, you just learn on your own. Some people might be good with it, but some don’t. To sum it up, I can’t speak for all. I’m sure there are people that have a good experience here, and they do have some good connections and guest speakers. But for me it wasn’t a match at all, and it took me a lot to finally come to peace with it. Will I recommend this school to any of my talented designer friends? The answer is a straight up NO.
I highly recommend the Global Fashion Management program. It turned my life upside down!
Very good seller, good communication. Beautifull sari.
Fantastic fashion school
Great school!!
I am so sad to write this review, but on the side of the school we have not gotten any support in regards of this. I have applied this year and last year for the Bsc, and last year I got accepted for the interview, but this year not even. When the interview started last year, one of the first questions I was asked was about my high school diploma, as I studied Steiner, which is obviously not a fancy IB program, I felt judged and unapproved of when talking about how I loved this education path I chose. After a few days later, I got rejected, which did not came as a surprise as the interviewer a lady - the man, who's name I do not remember, was super kind made me feel like I wasn't even worth for a conversation. After asking for clarification on the rejection, they do not inform you. May I ask why IFM does not clarify rejections when even other leading fashion schools do? Because this rejection feels extremely off, as I even applied to summer school which I hoped showed motivation for the course. I am sure other rejected students feel this way, and having clarification would help loads of us on our path in education - or even applying again.
