Apart from the great location, lots of street parking, amazing variety of drinks, Japanese groceries food and noodles and snacks, they have excellent Takeaway at such fresh and amazing price. Check out my platter A! It taste so great. Next time I will try salmon lover platter.nnMy daughter is a big fan of their Katsu curry large size at $18.nnI love their eel sushi.
It was my very first time to visit this Japanese grocery store! They have any kind of Onigiri and frozen food Vegetables Crocket. I love the hospitality of the staff who offered us free tester of chicken Gyoza and other ready to eat food, very great! I will be back again next time I step my foot in Balwyn
Lovely store! I bought potato croquette, green tea ice cream and wakame, and i love it because Japanese croquette and vegan green tea ice cream is hard to get from other place… wakame also very cheap! i will go there again if i finish this, i wanna try onigiri mini bento and Matcha roll cake and tofu when next time visit
A genuine Japanese Grocery Store with a in house Sushi Chef. My go to place to takeaway lunch for kids after Saturday classes. With 4 picky kids, Ichiba has something for everyone. They make Pork or Chicken Katsu Curry on rice, Sukiyaki Beef on rice, Karaage Chicken on rice and Eel rice bowl and also have freshly made sashimi, nigiri and sushi rolls. You can even order sushi platters. The prices are very good with Chicken Katsu Curry rice priced at $12.80. They sell out fast because it’s such a great deal! The shop is located opposite Maccas on Whitehorse Rd in Balwyn, next to the fruit shop.
It’s a very successful Japanese grocery store with sushi kitchen in the neighbourhood! The pricing is very reasonable, there is also a wide range of fresh food! The frozen section is my favourite because of the variety of products like nato, dumplings, frozen seafood and beef! Highly recommend the 50 pieces frozen pork gyoza that comes with a special gyoza sauce! I went back couple times for the fresh Wagyu, I was considering not sharing this information because there are limited stocks only. But it is the best Wagyu I have had, I chose the sukiyaki pack and it taste like the juiciest meat that melt in your mouth without chewing.
