My friend and I had a lot of fun at Cheap Skate night! Even though there was a good crowd in we had plenty of room to move on the ice and never felt hemmed in. There was a good mix of both beginners and experienced skaters there and everyone was friendly. The penguins for the kids is a great idea! And the coffee from the cafe was really good too! A wonderful experience and we will definitely be back soon
Booked my son's 12th birthday party. The kids loved it including those who had never skated before. Very friendly staff who entertained the kids and made their day.
lovely first time for my kid - and return visit for myself and my husband after a good few years. Food and Staff were awesome. just curious if games like Red Rover and the Card Suits Corners are still played? i was really looking forward to those.
The ice skating rink was an absolute delight to visit. The ice was well-maintained and smooth, allowing for a seamless skating experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and tidy. We especially enjoyed the music and the lighting, which added to the atmosphere and made the experience all the more enjoyable. The rental skates were good quality and comfortable to wear, and there were plenty of options for everyone, from young children to experienced skaters. Overall, we had a fantastic time at the rink and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and unique activity. The prices were reasonable, and the location was easy to find. We will definitely be returning for another visit soon!
It was a fun holiday activity for my son and his friend, they enjoyed it. The penguin was also very helpful. Was nice seeing the staff skate around, helping those that needed assistance.
It was a great place to take the kids. Penguins were a must for kids that didn't know how to ice skate +$5 Although it was fullllllll. It was still fun. Parking is pretty crazy when full.. Obviously cold inside so bring a jumper+long pants. Lining up to get in was a bit unorganised. Rest assured though, first in didn't mean best dressed.
Amazing place for ice-skating especially on hot days. Everything was fine.
Arrived today around 2pm thinking the session started at 1.30 and we had an hour and a half of skating only to be kicked out at 3pm after less than an hour on the rink. The cashier did not mention anything about the fact the session was already over and charged full price of $86 for 1 hour with 1 adult and 3 children and 3 penguin hires. I think Iceworld has a responsibility to inform unknowing patrons beforehand so they can make an informed decision to stay or return at a time where they can make use of their entire session. I provided this feedback to a different cashier which she acknowledged but seemed completely disinterested. Very disappointing
Good place for kids and teens. Ample parking, reasonable rates, you can skate up to 3pm, $18 per head, skate shoes provided, don't forget to bring warm clothing as it's very cold in, there is a penguin trolley you can use too to learn skate, you have to pay additional $5 for it. There is a tiny snacks corner for quick grabs... I didn't like toilets as they are not well maintained. Overall yeah once in a while to beat sun and summer it's good.
It's a skating rink, not much to say about it. The rental skates are pretty bad, poor stability and very wobbly, as well as quite uncomfortable. But that can be excused, skates are in no way, shape or form cheap and they are basically just for casual and beginner skaters. However, they removed a lot of the games, both for the general skate and the speed skate. I'm not sure why the speakers are so awful, but it's impossible to tell what is being announced. Some of the skaters likely hockey skaters are very rude and will hockey stop right next to young kids. They encourage bad behaviour like throwing crushed ice at each other. The staff are alright, but some can be quite negligent. This could just be the night skate, but there is very little support for new skaters, and they are not being taught how to skate correctly which leads to a lot of hardship. There is definitely not enough time for skating, and I feel that $23 for two hours is just not good enough; it should be 7-10 PM. There is serious room for improvement.
