This place is a hidden gem. It's in a little lane way next to Tea and Co. The ice cream in a bun and mochi ice cream is a must try. So good!nThe only downside is there's no place to eat. You can sit down if there's a free bench inside. Otherwise, people just stand outside or eat it on the go.
New location on Burwood Road more towards Burwood Chinatown, head into the retailer complex beyond Tea & Co and Super Emoji.nnThe crispy bun option is an extra $3.5 on top of 1 scoop which is $6.8. Total is $10.30, you can get it all day as they have a box of daily buns.nn uji matcha gelato and hojicha flavournnI didn’t know they sold matcha powder the famous one and matcha drinks too! I watched them make it and it looked quality, I mean look at that colour.
Finding the spot on Google Maps might be a tad tricky, but rest assured, it's nestled snugly behind Tea & Co. in a quaint alley, just across from the bustling Burwood Chinatown. Despite its unassuming location, the shop was abuzz with activity when I visited on a lively Friday night.nnWe treated ourselves to the crispy bun with ice cream nestled inside, and it was an absolute delight! The bun's rich flavors took center stage, overshadowing even the ice cream. We also indulged in white sesame macadamia and matcha ice cream cones, both of which were a real treat.
FOOD: The ice cream here is undeniably good; however, I accidentally ordered the yuzu flavor, which wasn’t to my liking.nnPLACE: This cute little shop, albeit small with only 2-3 seats, adds to its charm.nnSERVICE: Quick and efficient service with no issues encountered. Overall, a pleasant experience.
One of my favourite gelatorias, the flavours are always so well balanced and authentic. Can never go past the traditional matcha, this time I paired it with the Logan honey and Iranian pistachio which was AMAZING.nI highly recommend this combination.nThere is always a line on a weekend evening but always worth the wait.
